Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted October 19, 2016 Author Posted October 19, 2016 Tito is gonna let him go 4-5 innings then go right to that pen again.
Travis_Snider Verified Member Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 I think Barney throws harder than this
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 Pathetic at bats. My god. He's got very flat stuff and doesn't throw hard. lol the dude's a wifferballer and we're a righty dominant lineup. I expect Upton to run into something, his fastball swing matches that of an 88mph pitch
over500 Verified Member Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 Jays have been making s*** junkballers look good since forever. Nothing new.
admin Site Manager Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 Pathetic at bats. My god. He's got very flat stuff and doesn't throw hard. Brutal. I'll let the other games slip on good pitching. But if we don't get atleast 4-5 runs off this guy, it's all on the offense.
Stevecool Verified Member Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 So bautista comes out and says Merrit should be shaking in his boots. Watch that give him motivation to shut down the jays. Nice work bautista .
Effit Old-Timey Member Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 Nobody panic. They are just gathering information.
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 Bautista getting owned already by the rookie he chirped It will take Bautista awhile to get locked in on that 85mph fastball....

But if we don't get atleast 4-5 runs off this guy, it's all on the offense. We will only get a look at him for another 2-3 innings. That mightve been the heart of the lineups only look.
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 Is Francona planning to let Merritt see these guys a second time, or will be once through, then on to the pen in the 3rd? My guess is some combo of the two but will be on a very short leash when he faces them the 2nd time through.
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 Is Francona planning to let Merritt see these guys a second time, or will be once through, then on to the pen in the 3rd? Dude you gotta think Francona is going to drive his pen into the ground if it gives him the best chance to wrap the series, especially if worst case scenario he has a home game after an off day. Despite our struggles against newbies this year I doubt he'd want to give the top 4 another look at his soft tossing lefty.
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 Tito is gonna let him go 4-5 innings then go right to that pen again. I'm expecting 3 innings from Miller if the game is close.
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 5 more innings, probably less if you want to consider the other relievers elite like Shaw and Otero.
BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 Paints a back door CB on the black to Edwin. Call could have gone either way. Got to protect. Hold em Marco.
ComeTogether Verified Member Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 Just got back from a week in Vegas. It's unreal how hated Bautista is. No one I talked to ever said anything about the team. But the Bautista hatred was so real. The sport books were somewhat quiet for the Jays games...but when Bautista got out...you would swear a run was scored. When it was K Looking. There were so many "sit your ass Down" comments in vegas now, lot of Canadians here and are pro jays.
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 5 more innings. 5 more innings????? More like 3 or 4 more, I doubt he gets two looks at the top of the lineup
TheHurl Site Manager Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 If anyone has an MLB.tv which they trust to give me the password to I'd appreciate it. I have to go to the walk in to get this syphilis thing looked at. Please PM if you are willing.
venema20 Verified Member Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 Of course he gets us 3 up 3 down lol Well the Jays do have the worst average in the league against fastballs under 90 mph. They just can't adjust to soft tossers.
intentional wok Old-Timey Member Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 Is Francona planning to let Merritt see these guys a second time, or will be once through, then on to the pen in the 3rd? I bet he doesn't go past the 4th, even if Cleveland has a big lead. The top three probably just wasted their best chance against this staff's weakest guy.
BTS Community Moderator Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 My guess is some combo of the two but will be on a very short leash when he faces them the 2nd time through. If I were Tito I don't think I'd have the stomach to let him see the big boys a second time, especially if he has the lead.
over500 Verified Member Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 Miller and Allen are gonna go 4 innings. We only have 4 more innings to tie the game. Three really, if you ignore martin, pillar and barney at bats.
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 Jays have been making s*** junkballers look good since forever. Nothing new. I'm willing to let EE and Bautista go and move away from this type of offense. However only if they are replaced with adequate hitters and not Smoak and Upton
TheHurl Site Manager Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 in vegas now, lot of Canadians here and are pro jays. Yeah there were quite a few Jays fans too. What I meant was that it was relatively quiet when the Indians did anything good...but when Bautista got out even the Non-Indians fans cheered.
BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 It's hard but im just trying to relax. Top of 2nd. Pitches were up in the 1st so hoping Marco settles in and we patiently get to this shitballer. We can't be panicking thinking about Miller or anyone else.
intentional wok Old-Timey Member Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 If you're at the game and reading this, get loud when the Jays are up please. This kid is as green as it comes. Look up from your phones and rattle him.

Mainly because he doesn't shut up. Has not hit since Game 1 of the ALDS and still running his mouth.

The game is only 4 innings long today then they just end the game or something.
