Just stop. Do you even realize how good and deep the Dodgers and Cubs are? And depending on Bauer's health, they can't exactly win the World Series with just Kluber and Tomlin, and expect 1-2 rookies (Merrit and likely Clevinger if Bauer can't go) to beat LA or Chicago's lineup.

I was pretty happy just making it to the ALCS. But to perform like this is pretty disappointing. Simply been outplayed in ever single aspect of the game.

 

Hate to say it but there has been not one moment of joy for me this series. What a waste.

They are on the verge of sweeping two teams from the toughest division in baseball.

 

True--especially when the mass media was predicting a Red Sox/Cubs World Series.

 

Word of warning--if they do sweep, that could be a problem.. remember the last few teams that reached the World Series in a sweep (KC 2014, lost the World Series to the Giants), Mets 2015 (lost to KC), 2012 Detroit Tigers (lost to San Fran), 2007 Rockies (Lost to Boston). For some reason, 4 game sweeps in the ALCS have resulted in the team that swept losing the World Series. It's mostly due to too much rest, especially if the other series goes long.. there's a loss of momentum.
