pretty embarrassing....everyone trying to hit a 3 run homer with nobody aboard. Guys swinging out of their shoes. This team is built for spurts of success, not long term success or championship success. Gibbons plays station to station. Nobody every in motion, no sacrifice bunts, etc. Just sit back and wait for the 3 run homer. This series will be much like the KC series last year. Out played and more than anything out managed

making this Cleveland pitching staff look like the '27 Yankees....ridiculous. Keep swinging for the fences boys!!

It's obvious that small-ball wins in the game today. Hopefully Shapiro can get a manager and some players in here who actually have a clue how to play it.

I need to find something happy to watch tonight. This is a pretty garbage feeling.

Last year and now this. Two epic buzzkills both times.

I can't believe how the jays hitters continued to wait for that perfect fastball when Indians were pounding the zone with offspeed and curves.

This. So much f***ing watching hittable pitches go by.

I can't see how the coaching staff isn't noticing this.

So you want the coaching staff to tell these veterans who have historical success how to hit?

Not happening. Offensive culture shift is needed and it will happen.

Lets not get the panties in a bunch here. We have faced pretty solid pitching so far. A CY young candidate, two better than average closers and a not-so-good pitcher that happened to mix his pitches really well. This is hardly over.

Hire, Gruber92!

Well that's funny since you do it all of the time.

Indians were up 3-1 on the Sox in '07 I think. Rotation of Sabathia and Carmona.

There's plenty in a 7 game series. Certainly not ideal, but...

The trick to beating Cleveland is shorten up swings and sit on curves and offspeed not the fastball

Definitely agree. But the Jays are all about going for the long-ball. Very feast or famine type of club.

The only time a team has come back after trailing 2-0 in the mlb playoffs is the 1995 Seattle Mariners Vs the Yankees, and The Red Sox vs the Yankees in 2004

With 50% of the pitches being curve balls from Tomlin, how the offence wasn't sitting curve is puzzling. EE did it once and just missed. Sit curve and think gap to gap should have been the narrative vs Tomlin after the second inning.

its happened once spanky, once, your sources are wrong.

Only one team has comeback from 0-3 deficit not 0-2 Josh. Once, your sources are wrong.

Do tell... break down the plate appearances, and get back to me. Thanks.

This person is on my IL list, thanks. I've added over 20 in 2 days, how can this be possible. o2 and others ban, regulars, but not folk, that have less then 100 posts. Yay!

It's happened many times. Jays were up 2-0 on KC in 85 lost, down (in a 5) 2-0 just last year and won.

The situation still really sucks. Most teams down 2-0 obviously lose. Over the long course of history many, many teams have been down 2-0, I am guessing 20% came back.

We came back 0-2 on Texas last year, stfu

Yeah, but the Red Sox won Game 1 that year, so they weren't coming back from a 0-2 deficit.

The only times it's happened are 2004 (the infamous 0-3 comeback by the Sox), 1985 (which we should know as Jays fans, since we were the ones who choked it away to the Royals), and 1982 (Brewers over Angels).
