KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted October 15, 2016 Posted October 15, 2016 The Cleveland doesn't deserve to win thing is nonsense. Both teams pitched well. Cleveland capitalized on a rare mistake. Blue Jays didn't. Cleveland deserves to win.
BTS Community Moderator Posted October 15, 2016 Posted October 15, 2016 Well, at least we can take solace in the fact that at least 30% of these fans will get mugged on their way home tonight. All of you guys s***ing on the city of Cleveland sound very petty.
43211234 Verified Member Posted October 15, 2016 Posted October 15, 2016 They ran into some fantastic pitching. It was always going to be a tough one. It happens. I like their chances tomorrow and with a win they take back home-field advantage in the series. The Blue Jays will win the series!
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted October 15, 2016 Posted October 15, 2016 5am going to be right meow got a full day of weed brownies and biking ahead of me in the afternoon Oh how cool Wow
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted October 15, 2016 Posted October 15, 2016 Well, at least we can take solace in the fact that at least 30% of these fans will get mugged on their way home tonight. What kind of a freak says that? What was wrong with Cleveland's crowd? Jesus Christ some people just can't enjoy a beautifully played game of baseball.
JFD Old-Timey Member Posted October 15, 2016 Posted October 15, 2016 Their pitching was phenomenal tonight. With Estrada completely dealing for all but one pitch, this was a really enjoyable playoff game. Although the ump going full retard in the late innings wasn't as fun. he went full retard in the first inning starting with the horrible 0-1 call to JB.
Blue Jays Molly Verified Member Posted October 15, 2016 Posted October 15, 2016 All of you guys s***ing on the city of Cleveland sound very petty. I fully admit that I'm upset that we lost. That said, Cleveland is an awful place. Also, what I posted was quite obviously a joke.
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted October 15, 2016 Posted October 15, 2016 All of you guys s***ing on the city of Cleveland sound very petty. Let us have this.
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted October 15, 2016 Posted October 15, 2016 The digs at the city of Cleveland and their fans are really lame. A joke here and there is o.k. but driving it to the ground will get you banned.

Losing in a game pitched entirely by Kluber, Miller, and Allen isn't the end of the world.
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted October 15, 2016 Posted October 15, 2016 This is a team that has bounced back all season from adversity. I have no doubt they will come back tommorrow and win
vdubmvp Old-Timey Member Posted October 15, 2016 Posted October 15, 2016 Sucks to lose but the Jays have three more Estradas to throw at them and they don't have anything past Kluber. It will be a series not a rout. Yeah, this is probably the most calm I've ever felt after a loss. I'm not infuriated like I normally am. Just disappointed, of course. Estrada was great and deserved better, but Kluber/Miller/Allen is a tough one to overcome. It obviously would have been fantastic to steal game one, but take tomorrow's and it'll all be good going back to Toronto.
TorontonianJD Verified Member Posted October 15, 2016 Posted October 15, 2016 Curious if Travis will be put on DL. Also, seems more serious than a bone bruise.....
saskjayfan Old-Timey Member Posted October 15, 2016 Posted October 15, 2016 31 pitches today after like 5 days off. I think he gets used to protect a 1-run lead. But it's going to be a 5 run deficit tomorrow so no reason to worry about miller

Blue Jays didn't. Cleveland deserves to win. I actually don't understand how anyone claims that Cleveland either weren't the favourites to win this game or didn't deserve to win. I love Estrada as much as the next guy, but it's clear that Kluber is the superior pitcher. And Andrew Miller, my god. The game was won on a good AB by Jason Kipnis and a great swing by Lindor, not exactly Alcides Escobar and Eric Hosmer shitballing some groundballs through the defense there.
vdubmvp Old-Timey Member Posted October 15, 2016 Posted October 15, 2016 All of you guys s***ing on the city of Cleveland sound very petty. Yeah, those posts are really just embarrassing.
FireAlexAnthopoulos Verified Member Posted October 15, 2016 Posted October 15, 2016 Tough to win when you're playing against Kluber, Miller, the umps, and Gibbons.
ComeTogether Verified Member Posted October 15, 2016 Posted October 15, 2016 At least Marco got a complete game for the first time.
dineke Old-Timey Member Posted October 15, 2016 Posted October 15, 2016 josh tomlin has been good lately. I'm worried.
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted October 15, 2016 Posted October 15, 2016 Yeah, those posts are really just embarrassing. I don't want this to get all bitter like the rivalry with the O's and Rangers. There's no bad blood between these teams and their fan bases. The people trashing Cleveland are like that idiot with the 85 Jays sign. Trying to start s*** for nothing.
Blue Jays Molly Verified Member Posted October 15, 2016 Posted October 15, 2016 Yeah, those posts are really just embarrassing. It's almost as if sports fandom and emotion are somehow intertwined.
ComeTogether Verified Member Posted October 15, 2016 Posted October 15, 2016 538 had Cleveland winning game 1. For game 2, It's 50-50. http://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/2016-mlb-predictions/
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted October 15, 2016 Posted October 15, 2016 At least Marco got a complete game for the first time. Made just one mistake and can be argued he didn't even make that mistake
intentional wok Old-Timey Member Posted October 15, 2016 Posted October 15, 2016 The Cleveland doesn't deserve to win thing is nonsense. Both teams pitched well. Cleveland capitalized on a rare mistake. Blue Jays didn't. Cleveland deserves to win. I'd say there was a roughly equal number of good swings. Lindor's left the park though. Kluber bore down and just K'd himself out of trouble. If Sanchez did what Kluber did tonight people would be singing his name for shutting down a great lineup. It's Fan Goggles to think Kluber-Miller-Allen would be workable.
Mittens87 Verified Member Posted October 15, 2016 Posted October 15, 2016 So realistically we should be able to go 2-1 in next 3 against non kluber starters? To keep it a series.

The game was won on a good AB by Jason Kipnis and a great swing by Lindor, not exactly Alcides Escobar and Eric Hosmer shitballing some groundballs through the defense there. I think the frustrating part was that it was a winnable game because Kluber looked human and possibly even vulnerable for the first few innings and if the boys cashed in on that it could have been a very different outcome. That said, the Jays have to be optimistic about the coming matchups.
Vegasdogg Verified Member Posted October 15, 2016 Posted October 15, 2016 Yay, the Indians win a game where they were objectively the worse team! It was a great pitching dual. Lots of opportunities early for the Blue Jays but they couldn't cash in. Lindor cashed in on the pitch he wanted - the changeup. But come on now there was no worse team on the field tonight. The Jays had one more hit than Cleveland. Not seeing how any team was the "worse team" but I'm betting you're just upset over the loss.
Governator Community Moderator Posted October 15, 2016 Posted October 15, 2016 Let's hit the reset button and steal a game tomorrow.
JoJo Parker Dunedin Blue Jays - A SS On Tuesday, Parker was just 1-for-5, but the one hit was his first professional home run. Explore JoJo Parker News >
