  1. I'm going to guess that this place had a troll with a name ending in dogg. If so I understand.
  2. Anyone who thinks the Indians have fareweather fans is wrong. At one point we set the MLB record for consecutive sellouts. We had some up and down years since the 97 World Series and Francona is reviving that fan base. But when the team consistently refuses to raise payroll because the owner doesn't spend money the fans tend to have a wait and see approach after so many letdowns. This is Cleveland sports we are talking about. But fareweather fans? Cleveland handle being called many, many things but fareweather is a new one for me. I literally have never been called that in my 47 years. LOL. Just crazy talk.
  3. It was a great pitching dual. Lots of opportunities early for the Blue Jays but they couldn't cash in. Lindor cashed in on the pitch he wanted - the changeup. But come on now there was no worse team on the field tonight. The Jays had one more hit than Cleveland. Not seeing how any team was the "worse team" but I'm betting you're just upset over the loss.
  4. The Blue Jays of course have led the league in home runs, but while the Indians are not a home run slugging team on par with Toronto, they are just a wee bit behind the Blue Jays in slugging percentage. We hit a lot of doubles and triples, which closed the gap with Toronto in this department. We have hit our share of home runs, but we tend to spray a lot of triples and doubles, and coupled with our superior base running/stolen bases (a weak spot for Toronto's defense) I look for us to be very aggressive on the base path.
  5. While I think my Indians have a pretty decent lineup 1-9, the pitching that was our strong point took a severe hit with Danny and Carlos going down. Those are our #2 and #3 starters, and with a soft throwing Tomlin needing to hit his spots or else, plus the bullpen possibly having to log more innings than I would like, I would say on paper the odds are in the Blue Jays favor. You're not a move the runners over, small ball kind of team. But you're big bats are hot right now. On paper I am worried. But the Indians haven't been an "on paper" team all season. They have a close knit group of players and managers, and they are all heart. I am just hoping for a good series from Cleveland and the possibility to play in the WS.
  6. Cleveland is going to charge a lot of money to park downtown, which they already do but more so for the game. I never paid those prices when I went to Browns-Cavs-Indians games. Best thing would be to Uber or Cab ride. Not only is parking a pain but getting out after the game is crazy.
  7. Cleveland fan here. Moved to Las Vegas after 37 years, and been here since 2005. I know the city of Cleveland and surrounding areas pretty well. If you're going to stay in town for the game look for hotels in Euclid or Wickliffe OH (east of Progressive Field) or Strongsville or Brecksville OH (south of Progressive Field). The ride would take about 20-25 mins each. The Super 8 below is $55 per night and has openings now for Friday and Saturday, checkout Sunday Super 8 Strongsville, 15385 Royalton Rd, Strongsville, OH, 44136 855-238-1592
