intentional wok Old-Timey Member Posted October 10, 2016 Posted October 10, 2016 (edited) Something else nobody is mentioning: we beat Texas in a 1-run game to knock them out of the postseason. Texas, the king of 1-run games this season. f***ing classic. This whole thing is like poetry. Also, "Jeff" Bannister? I've been calling him Brian! Goddamnit. Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted October 10, 2016 Posted October 10, 2016 Bush, Odor and Bannister are f***ing **********s! Go home go suck your dick to make you feel better! That's just silly. They need to suck each other's dicks. Let's be realistic.

flafson Verified Member Posted October 10, 2016 Posted October 10, 2016 I'm happy we won and all, but why be so nasty towards them? I get the Odor thing but Bannister hasn't done anything to justify this kind of language IMO.

From demanding that fans who heckle him be ejected, to ordering Bush to throw at Bautista on the very last opportunity of the year, to him acting like a stupid buzzkill when we were all trying to celebrate, he can get f***ed for all I care. He sets the tone for his team of miserable *******s. oh yeah, I didn't even mention his stupid smug ass face he wears all the time. Edited October 10, 2016 by Boxcar
Molitor Verified Member Posted October 10, 2016 Posted October 10, 2016 Extending a great big FU to Jeff Banister, that smug ******* How does it taste to lose 6 straight playoff games to the Jays? Mmmmmm, I bet it tastes good.
glory Old-Timey Member Posted October 10, 2016 Posted October 10, 2016 Bannister is just as much a ******** as Odor, if not worse.

If anything, Odor probably set the tone for anyone to throw at Bautista the same way Donaldson set the tone for Happ to throw at the Yankees.
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted October 10, 2016 Posted October 10, 2016 Common, managers don't order players to throw at other players. Are you serious? You think Bush, who wasn't even on the team last year, did that just for fun?

Couldn't agree more and I'll add Bannister's unhinged incitement of the Rangers crowd when the whole Odor punch went down. His team started it all because they were butthurt over a batflip and they waited until the very last chance that they had to retaliate in order to minimize the chances for the Blue Jays to retaliate. He then runs on the field yelling and clapping his hands like a buffoon while waiving his arms around. The guy is a total clown.

candymartinez Verified Member Posted October 10, 2016 Posted October 10, 2016 It gives me so much pleasure to see the Orioles and Rangers lose so badly and their mouth breathing fanbase so crushed. Loser players, managers and fans, it looks good on them. Even if the Jays go on to get swept in the ALCS it won't be as bad as what happened to those pathetic excuses for franchises.

You could not have scripted better outcomes so far this postseason. Beating the O's in dramatic fashion and then sweeping the Rangers with Odor committing an error on the final play.

flafson Verified Member Posted October 10, 2016 Posted October 10, 2016 Love how Eric Byrnes took the dive on that. Yea, his hair was exactly like Donaldson's, haha.
flafson Verified Member Posted October 10, 2016 Posted October 10, 2016 Are you serious? You think Bush, who wasn't even on the team last year, did that just for fun? I don't think it was about fun, I think when your leaders in the dugout are all pissed and scream and create a general tone for revenge then the pitchers feel it's up to them to be part of that dugout and deliver on that revenge.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted October 10, 2016 Posted October 10, 2016 Are you serious? You think Bush, who wasn't even on the team last year, did that just for fun? Well judging from his history hes not a good person. So he might be a little f***ed in the head. Can't rule it out. But its obvious Bannister waited for his last opurtunity and used his hardest throwing reliever.
ChrisS Verified Member Posted October 10, 2016 Posted October 10, 2016 Bush was told to throw at Bautista, he had no choice. He was damn impressive last night.
canadiansportsjunkie Verified Member Posted October 10, 2016 Posted October 10, 2016 I don't think Bush is a punk for throwing at Bautista but he is a goof
Captain Adama Old-Timey Member Posted October 10, 2016 Posted October 10, 2016 I don't think Bush is a punk for throwing at Bautista but he is a goof The man spent much of his life trying to make the big leagues and he wants to do his best to ensure his performance satisfies his manager. If he's told by Bannister to throw at Bautista, he has no leverage.
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted October 10, 2016 Posted October 10, 2016 Are you serious? You think Bush, who wasn't even on the team last year, did that just for fun? He could have tried to fit in with the team by making a statement
Slade Old-Timey Member Posted October 10, 2016 Posted October 10, 2016 A great illustration of Donaldson. http://m.mlb.com/video/v1204840283/donaldson-baserunning-demo-with-byrnes-and-floyd JD actually did stop before coming home, the play is not even close if he kept running. I'd say that is even more impressive.
Captain Adama Old-Timey Member Posted October 10, 2016 Posted October 10, 2016 He could have tried to fit in with the team by making a statement 100% he was told to by Bannister to nail Bautista.
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted October 10, 2016 Posted October 10, 2016 100% he was told to by Bannister to nail Bautista. How do you know? It's not really that odd that people do stupid s*** to "get in" with their group. I could definitely see him thinking "Well these guys constantly talk about how much of a bitch Bautista is, so let me show them I'm cool/I got their backs by hitting him"

Otherwise, somebody else would have done it by then.
