jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted September 11, 2016 Posted September 11, 2016 I just hate how they give up on their team. As soon as there is a slight moment of adversity its the whole "this team doesn't have what it takes" blah blah blah. Toronto has some great fans don't get me wrong but there a ton of terrible fans as well more so that it seems for other teams. Yup, evidence to last postseason in the ALCS. It was so easy to get tickets for Game 3, 4 and 5 in Toronto. Tickets were almost half the price of face value on StubHub. Toronto fans are the worst and are a bunch of bandwagoners. If this team starts to lose or wasn't in a playoff race, the fans jump ship.
puphood Verified Member Posted September 11, 2016 Posted September 11, 2016 Outside of the Toronto area the Fan base for the Jays is probably stronger than any team in the AL period! Watch the coming Seattle series and see the blue. Their fan base is national and no team can claim that but the Toronto Blue Jays. Flight to Toronto in July to see Stroman and the Jays beat the Royals $550, Hotel $175, beer food $$$$. Tickets $165 ish and worth it. By the way the seat were pure s***. Fans follow them every where, in the past years I have seen them in San Francisco, Arizona, and Seattle. All with the above kind of cost incurred. So if you can get a ticket for $30 in the 500 section and live in the area what are doing in front of your computer.........Don't knock the fans they ain't loosening these games.

And don't tell me Stubhub because the prices seem normal to me, actually I bought tickets that were cheaper in June so I'm taking what you said about stubhub with a grain of salt

Listen to this board as soon as the Red Sox score a run. Stubhub prices dropped like 40% since last week so I wouldn't say thats normal.
Belliss101 Old-Timey Member Posted September 11, 2016 Posted September 11, 2016 Why is Goins playing lol My eyes must be deceiving me

glory Old-Timey Member Posted September 11, 2016 Posted September 11, 2016 Career numbers vs. Buchholz. Gibby gon Gibby.
candymartinez Verified Member Posted September 11, 2016 Posted September 11, 2016 I can't think of a scenario where it makes any sense to start Goins here. Gibby certainly puts together "interesting" line-ups. Maybe this will works like when Navarro was batting clean-up?
guylaroche5 Verified Member Posted September 11, 2016 Posted September 11, 2016 This is 100% a Goins vs Bucholz thing that Gibby has a fetish for. I know Goins hit well at Fenway last year but I also remember Gibby plugging Goins in late in the year vs greaseball and having a horrible game at the plate. (as usual)
flafson Verified Member Posted September 11, 2016 Posted September 11, 2016 I guess it was Goins vs Smoak. He also switched Upton for Saunders.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted September 11, 2016 Posted September 11, 2016 Bucholz is also bad vs LHH. Plus with Sanchez on the mound it doesn't hurt having the better defender since Travis has been crap lately.

Exactly the opposite of Goins.
Travis_Snider Verified Member Posted September 11, 2016 Posted September 11, 2016 goins 9 hits in 23 ab vs buchholz
Maahfaace Verified Member Posted September 11, 2016 Posted September 11, 2016 goins 9 hits in 23 ab vs buchholz Lots of ground balls today with Sanchez on the mound, and Travis has been fumbellina as of late.
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted September 11, 2016 Posted September 11, 2016 I hate the Yankees rool, I hope Sanchez goes the way of JPA
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted September 11, 2016 Posted September 11, 2016 That 3rd pitch could have easily been called a strike
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted September 11, 2016 Posted September 11, 2016 Can't be over 750ML I think. But why would you be bringing a Liter bottle anyway? I brought in like a bag full of water bottles last time I went lol.
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted September 11, 2016 Posted September 11, 2016 Again that first pitch could have easily been a strike, f***ing ******** calls.
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted September 11, 2016 Posted September 11, 2016 Watch Bucholz get all the borderline calls.
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted September 11, 2016 Posted September 11, 2016 f*** f***ing great.
Maahfaace Verified Member Posted September 11, 2016 Posted September 11, 2016 Ugly all around there jesus.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted September 11, 2016 Posted September 11, 2016 Pillar misplays another ball. And what a horrible throw by Goins
Belliss101 Old-Timey Member Posted September 11, 2016 Posted September 11, 2016 Two pathetic defensive plays in 1 play
