thatoneguy Old-Timey Member Posted September 12, 2016 Posted September 12, 2016 Really? I don't know, maybe it's because the Red Sox were 1 game up coming in but they looked as cool as a cucumber the entire game, even when they were down. Our entire team looked like they were "trying too hard". That's always the case when the team is in a slump. They really never had that after the trade deadline last year.
Governator Community Moderator Posted September 12, 2016 Posted September 12, 2016 This whole experience of crashing in September is about as new to us as making the postseason last year. I'm too young to remember it happening in the 80s but the feeling is really f***ing heartbreaking. What's worse is having to work tomorrow, I just want to binge watch TV and eat a tub of ice cream.

You need to expand to other sports...or start sports betting I'm sure it will better help you understand the sinking feeling which you are prematurely feeling. The good news is that there are no eating chicken in the dugout rumours yet.

It's a lot different than other sports, basketball and hockey have more give with a larger postseason bracket and play half as many games. Baseball is a long f***ing grind and it's painful when stretches of slumps happen in the 6th month after playing 140 games. As a fan you devote energy every day to your team, hockey it's like 3 days a week, hell football is like 1.

Same here If anyone even mentions the Jays I snap This year I actually looked up how to be less of a fan. I never remember feeling like this. I take the s***** feeling everywhere. Other years were different Even 2014 I didn't feel like this we were leading then not doing well but it wasn't like this. I pray that they at least make the WC

burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted September 12, 2016 Posted September 12, 2016 Was at the game today sitting 3 rows up in the infield. What a game... Both teams played really well just Red Sox were a little better. Should be an exciting few weeks.
