Cyborg Verified Member Posted September 8, 2016 Posted September 8, 2016 Yanks chance of division is like 1% lol.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted September 8, 2016 Posted September 8, 2016 Team is possimg me off right now Losing matchups like this is f'n hard to swallow
TheGrandslamMan Verified Member Posted September 8, 2016 Posted September 8, 2016 Never understand the arguement "hopefully xxx loses so we don't lose any ground." We blew numerous chances against teams we should easily beat, to pull ahead. Sure we may not lose ground, but playing terrible like this can come back to haunt us when we lose the division or WC by a game. Exactly, the "ground not lost" is a game we should have easily put between us and those other teams.

You know what my stance is.

I can't imagine much good at this point considering the Sox are a far better team than the ones they just s*** the bed against.

It's a s***** argument, but after a loss, what else is there to hope for?

The thing that is giving me confidence is that they took 2 out of 3 from the Orioles in a big series and we werent playing great before that series. I am trying to find some hope.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted September 8, 2016 Posted September 8, 2016 Yankees are 21-13 since the trades.. and they've done damage to not just the Jays, but the Red Sox, Royals, Indians and Mariners. And they took 2/3 from the O's at home recently.. and they have a good shot to not only fatten up with so many Rays games, but they could be a serious threat to the Red Sox's division, wild card and playoff hopes.
TheGrandslamMan Verified Member Posted September 8, 2016 Posted September 8, 2016 Upton is better than Pompey and Carerra Probably. My point is I'd rather not see any of them in the lineup... But if you have to give Saunders or Bautista a day off from the field there might be better options depending on who the starting pitchers going to be.
admin Site Manager Posted September 8, 2016 Posted September 8, 2016 It's a s***** argument, but after a loss, what else is there to hope for? You're right I should have worded it better. Of course we hope for a loss, I guess a better quote would have been "It's not that big of a deal we lost, xxxx lost too so we didn't lose any ground!"

They're lucky they won that series.
el duque Verified Member Posted September 8, 2016 Posted September 8, 2016 To start adjusting let's get rid off Dickey and Thole right now
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted September 8, 2016 Posted September 8, 2016 Yanks chance of division is like 1% lol. At this point, they're a serious threat.. 7 games left vs. Boston and 7 to fatten up on the Rays. Only real danger is a 3 game set with the Dodgers..
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted September 8, 2016 Posted September 8, 2016 Carlos Villanueva in cuz Cozart got an injury
TheGrandslamMan Verified Member Posted September 8, 2016 Posted September 8, 2016 Batting practice time
Omar Old-Timey Member Posted September 8, 2016 Posted September 8, 2016 Silver Lining = Yankees playing with confidence hopefully give Bosox a hard time next week.

Belliss101 Old-Timey Member Posted September 8, 2016 Posted September 8, 2016 Stop discussing it. Sox are not losing this game lol.
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted September 8, 2016 Posted September 8, 2016 f***ing Villanueva, 3-2 Sox
Belliss101 Old-Timey Member Posted September 8, 2016 Posted September 8, 2016 f***ing Villanueva, 3-2 Sox Did you think there was ever a chance???
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted September 8, 2016 Posted September 8, 2016 Did you think there was ever a chance??? Yes why not they came back to tie last inning have faith
thatoneguy Old-Timey Member Posted September 8, 2016 Posted September 8, 2016 Yes why not they came back to tie last inning have faith Literally f*** baseball right now.
Belliss101 Old-Timey Member Posted September 8, 2016 Posted September 8, 2016 Yes why not they came back to tie last inning have faith How many times do you think price will allow them to come back?

Yeah the Twins are such a hard team to beat. Great accomplishment. They were down pretty big in 2 of the games before turning it on. We didnt play great in that series despite sweeping them. Than we faces the Orioles and took the series. We werent playing good overall yet won a big series. Thats the hope I have for the Red Sox series.

Pompey can be used as a lefty so I could see him being inserted out of desperation but I don't love it by any stretch. I think whatever fairy dust the Jays were going to get out of Zeke this year is pretty much used up. Lately he's been looking a lot like the player we hated so much last year.
Belliss101 Old-Timey Member Posted September 8, 2016 Posted September 8, 2016 Oh so this is what a good offense looks like!!! I cannot wait for our one dimensional offense to be broken up
STLJaysFan Verified Member Posted September 8, 2016 Posted September 8, 2016 I guess only the REAL Mark Messier can guarantee a victory!
