AttaBoy Verified Member Posted September 4, 2016 Author Posted September 4, 2016 To be honest, I want them to miss the postseason and Gibby and other coaching staffs (including Jacoby, Walker) should get fired at the end of the season. It's not the managers fault Estrada blew the game open. It's not the manager fault the offense decides to go to sleep vs scrubs. It's not the managers fault this team is in first place. It's always the players. Anyone who blames the manager on a day to day basis is about as intelligent as a garden tool.
admin Site Manager Posted September 4, 2016 Posted September 4, 2016 Are the Jays a better team than the Cubs? Over the last three months, it can be aruged they were. I wouldn't LOL at someone or call them a homer if they said the Jays were the better team. I would think if someone did that they probably had no clue how good the Jays have actually been playing over the past while.

AttaBoy Verified Member Posted September 4, 2016 Author Posted September 4, 2016 Don't defend Gibby like that.. So you think Gibby should keep his job until he goes into his coffin? I think he's an above average manager. I would only replace him if I knew the replacement would be better.
2lowitzki Verified Member Posted September 4, 2016 Posted September 4, 2016 I think he's an above average manager. I would only replace him if I knew the replacement would be better. I don't agree... I think he is just an average or slightly below average manager. Say five reason why he is an above average manager?
AttaBoy Verified Member Posted September 4, 2016 Author Posted September 4, 2016 I don't agree... I think he is just an average or slightly below average manager. Say five reason why he is an above average manager? Gibbons is an good tactician, that's the one and only answer I need. Also, despite your (mis)understanding, managers don't really win or lose you ball games. You know that right?

Also, despite your (mis)understanding, managers don't really win or lose you ball games. You know that right? His decision making has been very poor since he came back as a manager in 2013.. I really think a move to have 6-man rotation actually screwed all the starting pitchers.. That kind of movements should not be made during the season when your players are in a good rhythm. I think that only broke that good rhythm of Estrada and Happ, and Liriano is just bull sxxx.
FireAlexAnthopoulos Verified Member Posted September 4, 2016 Posted September 4, 2016 LOL at anyone still defending our dumb hick manager. Putting that clown in charge of this core is like putting an 8-year-old behind the wheel of a Maserati.

Grant77 Old-Timey Member Posted September 4, 2016 Posted September 4, 2016 Absolutely I do. Pitching as bad as Boston's will be exposed. We see it every year and people keep forgetting but it happens more often than not.

Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted September 4, 2016 Posted September 4, 2016 Price Porcello Pomeranz Wright Other than Rodriguez where exactly is this exposure coming from? *cries* Pomeranz suuuuucks. Stephen Wright could easily pull and RA Dickey. Jays need Stroman and Sanchez to step it up if they want to win the division.
sawyerford Verified Member Posted September 4, 2016 Posted September 4, 2016 Price Porcello Pomeranz Wright Other than Rodriguez where exactly is this exposure coming from? *cries* Wright has struggled recently. Pomereanz is meh Price will choke in the playoffs (as usual) Porcello is the only consistent pitcher on that whole team.

Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted September 4, 2016 Posted September 4, 2016 Offence needs to step up as well. Offence has been dog s*** Yeah if the bats get hot for the last couple weeks of the season, we should be able to take the division. Its gonna be a super tight finish though.
TheHurl Site Manager Posted September 4, 2016 Posted September 4, 2016 Saying we were the best team in baseball over the past 3.5 months because we have the best record in baseball over that time is really a stretch? So much that you say "lol no"? And say I'm a Homer for saying that? lol Don't be upset when you look like a fool because you had no idea our record was that good. Since the Jays were swept by the Rays in May it's been really tight in the AL with Texas in first down to Detroit in 5th four games behind them. This is the way I honestly see the AL for the rest of the season, any of a bunch of teams could get hot and do well. http://www.baseball-reference.com/games/standings.cgi?year=2016&month=5&day=17&submit=Submit+Date
FireAlexAnthopoulos Verified Member Posted September 4, 2016 Posted September 4, 2016 2lowitzki = FireAlexAnthopoulos I've been here since 2013, have never been banned, and barely post anymore as it is. Why would I ever want or need another account?
jiminy Verified Member Posted September 4, 2016 Posted September 4, 2016 As this series is showing there is no guarantee jays will do well against the poorer teams. It looks to me the jays are cooling off at the wrong time
Vialotor Verified Member Posted September 4, 2016 Posted September 4, 2016 If I were a betting man, which I am not I would bet on the Red Sox, the Jays offense has been too undisciplined and inconsistent this year, and the sox pitching has been good since the break.

Lol then why are you even a Jays fan, go to the red sox forum. Have you seen the red sox bullpen? f***ing terrible and can't win in high leverage situations.
jiminy Verified Member Posted September 4, 2016 Posted September 4, 2016 Its basically Chicago's year but a few teams could make it interesting like Texas who is on fire right now.
AttaBoy Verified Member Posted September 4, 2016 Author Posted September 4, 2016 Pomeranz suuuuucks. Stephen Wright could easily pull and RA Dickey. Jays need Stroman and Sanchez to step it up if they want to win the division. Pomeranz actually tweaked his repertoire and he's better than ever (he was pretty good before now he's just good). Sanchez needs to step it up? Last I checked he's been doing that all year.

Have you seen the red sox bullpen? f***ing terrible and can't win in high leverage situations. Not sure what you are getting at? Are you saying if you don't have blind faith in the Jays every year your not a fan? GTFO with that garbage. It's called being objective and not a blind homer. I am still rooting for the Jays, grow a pair.
