PhillyBlueJay Verified Member Posted August 24, 2016 Posted August 24, 2016 He picked up an STI on his cock sitting next to EE causing him to tip his pitches. Can't you see how much he is sweating in pain...
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted August 24, 2016 Posted August 24, 2016 I feel like teams are really starting to sit on his change. That doesn't mean they'll consistently hit it mind you.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted August 24, 2016 Posted August 24, 2016 He's regressing back to his normal self. After taking two years off? Makes sense.
vilifyingforce Verified Member Posted August 24, 2016 Posted August 24, 2016 1.5 Long season, back issues can linger, & some bad luck.
L54 Old-Timey Member Posted August 25, 2016 Posted August 25, 2016 Ship is sinking for Marco. Rest of the team to soon follow.
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted August 25, 2016 Posted August 25, 2016 Trade Estrada while you can still get something for him. Quick.
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted August 25, 2016 Posted August 25, 2016 If it's 1.) Meh 2.) Doubt it, or else we'd be seeing him react to the stiff back like earlier in the year 3.) Lets hope not. He needs to suck it up and realize that you will have to pitch in the playoffs on short/long rest anyways.
thatoneguy Old-Timey Member Posted August 25, 2016 Posted August 25, 2016 Ship is sinking for Marco. Rest of the team to soon follow. Well a return to form for the offence would be nice.
saskjayfan Old-Timey Member Posted August 25, 2016 Posted August 25, 2016 beisbol isn't that easy i guess

Great approaches by other teams have been the biggest probe recently. Estrada must adjust soon hopefully.
TheGrandslamMan Verified Member Posted August 25, 2016 Posted August 25, 2016 His results are simply normalizing and aligning with his FIP
saskjayfan Old-Timey Member Posted August 25, 2016 Posted August 25, 2016 His results are simply normalizing and aligning with his FIP August Fagerstrom of fangraphs disagrees. Marco is outside the norm. http://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/marco-estrada-isnt-just-a-one-year-fluke/

Marco is outside the norm. http://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/marco-estrada-isnt-just-a-one-year-fluke/ No. He's probably going to beat his FIP, but he's not going to beat it by two runs or whatever he was beating it by earlier. He's good, but not 3.0 ERA good.
saskjayfan Old-Timey Member Posted August 25, 2016 Posted August 25, 2016 No. He's probably going to beat his FIP, but he's not going to beat it by two runs or whatever he was beating it by earlier. He's good, but not 3.0 ERA good. he just has to be steady now that the stro show is getting back to where he should be.
BTS Community Moderator Posted August 25, 2016 Posted August 25, 2016 he just has to be steady now that the stro show is getting back to where he should be. Every reason to believe he'll settle in as a reliable ~3.5 ERA guy, which is absolutely fine. As long as his back stays healthy.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted August 25, 2016 Posted August 25, 2016 His velo seems a little down more 87 MPH than his usual 89-90. Command has been off too.
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted August 25, 2016 Posted August 25, 2016 To be serious for a second, the 'Can Russell Martin live up to his Contract' thread is a good example for this. Russell started like s*** and now he's on fire. Players can get into a rut... Hitters and pitchers. This could very easily just be a bit of a rut that he's in... Possibly a little tired... Some nagging injuries... Mechanics could be just a bit off... Or just some rotten luck. A combination of all of those things is more likely than he's becoming the Estrada from 2014 and prior. I think he'll be just fine.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted August 25, 2016 Author Posted August 25, 2016 MLB Network analysts commented on two things this morning 1. Estrada's end of delivery isn't as crisp as it was in the first half of the season. Not finishing it as well. Sore back can obviously cause this tentativeness they thought. 2. Angels hitters were actively looking for slower pitches down in the zone and finding them
baseballsss Verified Member Posted August 25, 2016 Posted August 25, 2016 6 man rotation and back injury. I've heard many pitchers say before that pitching is a routine. that extra day off screws with their routine. Not to mention baseball players are the most superstitious people on earth..

He's sports out massive assumptions and convinces like half the fans that it's true. Edited August 25, 2016 by Brownie19

Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted August 25, 2016 Posted August 25, 2016 I believe his back isn't a 100%.
