intentional wok Old-Timey Member Posted August 20, 2016 Posted August 20, 2016 After their series with the Tigers, the Red Sox next 10 games consist of 7 vs Tampa and 3 against KC. This was a game that we should not have lost. Osuna was due for a blown save and has been lights out for the vast majority of the season. Saunders should have had that ball, he didnt have to jump.. its a routine play for an MLB right fielder. Yes Upton should have been backing him up but 99% of the time a long high hit flyball in that situation either leaves the park or is caught. I hope we dont look back seven weeks from now at this loss being the turning point. There have been several heartbreakers that people have warned as being the beginning of the end. But genuinely good teams don't let that happen. I don't think most Blue Jay fans see the Blue Jays as genuinely good though. I blame the long drought prior to last year. But I'll admit that sometimes 2015 & 16 still seem surreal, even to me.
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted August 20, 2016 Posted August 20, 2016 The Indians are a really likeable team Rajai David, Jose Ramirez, Abraham Almonte, Michael Martinez? They looks like past year Boston Celtics; one year wonder team...A lot of s*** player playing like God's

Last nite stung because we could have stolen a gm we probably should have lost anyway, but it happens. I'm sure the O's are pissed they blew a big early lead yesterday. Key is how our Jays respond today.

G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted August 20, 2016 Posted August 20, 2016 (edited) I blame Buck. As soon as he started to brag about Osuna closing the door and sealing the win they hit a home run. We all do that And he usually closes the door Edited August 20, 2016 by G-Snarls
puphood Verified Member Posted August 20, 2016 Posted August 20, 2016 Liriano was better than OK for 6 innings and mid relief showed they could hold it which really was a big positive. Defence/plus hitting is showing up tonight and next Tue. Pillar is supposed to be back. The only question is when JB will be back?.........
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted August 20, 2016 Posted August 20, 2016 we have 6 games against the Redsox, these are the games that will decide the ALEast Just like it was the Yankees games last season that decided the AL East. Its either that or a wild card game against the 0s, Mariners,

I think the issue is that Bautista, Pillar, Donaldson, and Tulo are beat up... once fans see those guys all back in it will give us confidence... tough loss... there were a couple tougher last year... a Friday game against the Yanks in which they led 3-0 in the 8th, Price on the mound, lost 4-3... One against Boston mid September... 2 run lead blown against Boston, 2 day before playing the Yanks the final time... came back from both.

G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted August 20, 2016 Posted August 20, 2016 Jeez, we haven't played the Red Sox in 2 and a 1/2 months Schedule is weird this year
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted August 20, 2016 Posted August 20, 2016 A Saturday with zero early afternoon games strange.
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted August 20, 2016 Posted August 20, 2016 Buck and Tabler brag about everyone as long as they are wearing a Toronto uniform. It's mad annoying. They brag about a player wearing ANY uniform
flafson Verified Member Posted August 20, 2016 Posted August 20, 2016 They brag about a player wearing ANY uniform The funny part that keeps puzzling every they talk about is MVP candidates. Half the players they talk about are MVP candidates in their mind, including Edwin. I love Edwin to pieces but a DH is not going to win MVP unless he has like 250 wRC+.
