Grant77 Old-Timey Member Posted August 2, 2016 Posted August 2, 2016 What's the deal with Liriano anyways? The trade is done, how long can he just sit in roster limbo?
Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted August 2, 2016 Posted August 2, 2016 I've never been so excited to see what a 26 year old career minor leaguer has to offer us...
Grant77 Old-Timey Member Posted August 2, 2016 Posted August 2, 2016 Interesting. I guess Martin is our emergency back up in the middle infield? I'm sure Tulo can play in an emergency. Upton is a consideration as well.
Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted August 2, 2016 Posted August 2, 2016 Bolsinger up as a long man due to the extra inning game last night? I'd imagine he's going to be our 6th starter in AAA no?
Grant77 Old-Timey Member Posted August 2, 2016 Posted August 2, 2016 I've never been so excited to see what a 26 year old career minor leaguer has to offer us... Randy Ruiz...
Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted August 2, 2016 Posted August 2, 2016 Interesting. I guess Martin is our emergency back up in the middle infield? I'm sure if they need him in an emergency, he'd play.

CBlake Verified Member Posted August 2, 2016 Posted August 2, 2016 Randy Ruiz... Randy Ruiz is stuff of legend, oh what a 33 game stint it was. Danny Barnes, I commend this kid for sticking it out, especially considering he has an Ivy League education to fall back on.
Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted August 2, 2016 Posted August 2, 2016 We need to find out from Olerud how Barnes MiLB stats translate to MLB
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted August 2, 2016 Posted August 2, 2016 What's the deal with Liriano anyways? The trade is done, how long can he just sit in roster limbo? Apparently he might start Friday
Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted August 2, 2016 Posted August 2, 2016 Apparently he might start Friday pretty sure they said sanchize friday
Sammy225 Old-Timey Member Posted August 2, 2016 Posted August 2, 2016 Jays want to give Tulo 1 more day can play if he needs to
mellowgold Verified Member Posted August 2, 2016 Posted August 2, 2016 Pillar hitting fifth makes me feel ill.
Cyborg Verified Member Posted August 2, 2016 Posted August 2, 2016 pretty sure they said sanchize friday Sanchez bumped to Sat likely.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted August 2, 2016 Posted August 2, 2016 Sanchez bumped to Sat likely. They said Sanchez starts Friday and Lirano is in line to pitch Saturday.
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted August 2, 2016 Posted August 2, 2016 Pillar hitting fifth makes me feel ill. He'll go 3 for 4 with 2 doubles and 3 RBI.
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted August 2, 2016 Posted August 2, 2016 Pillar hitting ahead of Travis and Upton is laughable
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted August 2, 2016 Posted August 2, 2016 They said Sanchez starts Friday and Lirano is in line to pitch Saturday. Wilner said that the Jays are considering swapping the 2 around for Friday and Sat
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted August 2, 2016 Posted August 2, 2016 Pillar hitting ahead of Travis and Upton is laughable I'm not even sure how Gibbons could rationalize it because yesterday when Donaldson was out and Gibbons wanted to move Bautista down and someone to the leadoff spot he chose Travis, not Pillar, to lead off.
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted August 2, 2016 Posted August 2, 2016 So who's being sent down? Or are we carrying more than 25 people?
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted August 2, 2016 Posted August 2, 2016 So who's being sent down? Or are we carrying more than 25 people? Schultz and Goins.
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted August 2, 2016 Posted August 2, 2016 Schultz and Goins. Thanks just heard Wilner say it too
CJ-Freeway Old-Timey Member Posted August 2, 2016 Posted August 2, 2016 Not tonight. 1. Jose Bautista ® DH 2. Josh Donaldson ® 3B 3. Edwin Encarnacion ® 1B 4. Michael Saunders (L) LF 5. John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted August 3, 2016 Posted August 3, 2016 Pillar should be hitting 8th lol Just doesn't make sense, Travis is killing it and is 10 times the hitter Pillar is. Let him leadoff, then murderers row, and after Saunders in 5th you put upton 6th, Barney 7th, Thole 8th and Pillar 9th. And when Martin is in, you put him in 6th, and everyone slides down a spot, with Pillar still hitting 9th Why Gibbons feels the need to juggle the lineup every day is beyond me
