TheHurl Site Manager Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 Where does he fit though I dont see them starting him and it looks like hes never pitched out of the pen? 27 ks in 21 innings as a reliever in OKC this year. Very much a hitters park. He's been hittable but getting K's. He's likely going to be in Buffalo this year as Feldman takes Chavez's role.
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 Solid depth move for the future.
thatoneguy Old-Timey Member Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 Good riddance Chavez you unreliable POS.

Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 So does Estrada. And how many Estrada's are out there that can get away with throwing 87.
Governator Community Moderator Posted August 1, 2016 Author Posted August 1, 2016 And how many Estrada's are out there that can get away with throwing 87. Hopefully 1 more. He was also not a top of the rotation type arm when we got him. He was just a long arm.
King Old-Timey Member Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 And how many Estrada's are out there that can get away with throwing 87. He's essentially like adding another Hutch. Not comparing the stuff, but the situations and results. Bolsy is awesome!
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 What are Bolsinger's secondary offerings like? If he's a soft tosser then he'd better have something else that's plus plus, or have a gimmick (knuckler, submariner).

If he's a soft tosser then he'd better have something else that's plus plus, or have a gimmick (knuckler, submariner). Seems to have a good curve and slider. Main issue seems to be fastball command (not sure whether he's nibbling too much). Maybe adding a few mph in the pen along with short innings would fix that.
King Old-Timey Member Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 The last known footage of Jesse Chavez. Just after he gave up the 3 run bomb to Jones
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 The last known footage of Jesse Chavez. Just after he gave up the 3 run bomb to Jones He looks like he dresses pretty well haha. I wouldn't even recognize him if I saw him on the street

vilifyingforce Verified Member Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 I'm actually struggling to see the motivation for the Dodgers to make this trade. I would go so far to call this a heist. It's basically a free, controllable, #7 SP for a gas can FA to be. There is no downside for us. Probably because he's a #7 SP? Jays sent cash to the Dodgers as well, not that the Dodgers need more money.

But yeah, I think this is ultimately a more effective move for the Blue Jays considering Feldman is now here to replace Jesse.
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 For some reason, every time when I simulated my MLB the Show franchises, Jesse Chavez always ended up with the Dodgers lol.
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 Thank you dear lord for this trade. I was asking for this for the past 2 days, trade him for a guy as valuable as him but with options. Thank goodness
puphood Verified Member Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 The last known footage of Jesse Chavez. Just after he gave up the 3 run bomb to Jones It would be interesting to know how many of the pitching scrubs they brought in under Shatkins have had their visas revoked and sent back and how many are still here and if the dollar value is + or -.......I would never be negative but s*** in s*** out.....
Laika Community Moderator Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 This is great. Bolsy is pretty good.

What is your problem Dogg?

Grant77 Old-Timey Member Posted August 2, 2016 Posted August 2, 2016 I'm not convinced that Bolsinger will be a valuable piece for us, but I don't mind the deal. For once, Gregg Zaun made a good point. Shatkins decided that Feldman was a big upgrade over Chavez and made the move, getting what they could for Chavez. The fact that Bolsinger has an option was likely the biggest factor.

If you listen to Zaun, then maybe you shouldnt have an opinion lol.
