Why don't we send Schultz down and then bring Morales up? With Cecil s***ing the bed we need to see if Morales can end up being a serviceable LOOGY.

Bo Schultz has been pretty good in his limited time. Some BABIP luck but a sweet GB%

 

Why dont we just dispose of Drew Storen? He's pitched 0.1 innings (2 batters faced) since July 10th. He has no value just DFA him

The fact that we have all these BP issues and Barnes is still in AAA is a mystery to me.

Well for a team that keeps talking about budget. And needing flexibility. Throwing 2 million down the drain is pretty annoying. So probably should see if you can get anything out of him.

From what I can tell Morales has options too so it's not a do or die decision. In theory they should be able to option either one unless they made some sort of promise to Morales that they would release him if they weren't going to us him (which I doubt given the guaranteed money he's making anyways). If it IS the later than yeah definitely give him a shot. If nothing else, it gives the team more depth. You wouldn't think having a deep depth chart of LH relief options would matter that much but weirdly it actually became a somewhat significant issue in the playoffs last year.

It can be spelled either way, one is American English and the other is the more common usage.

 

Much of 'American English' is just a bastardized version of real English created by Noah Webster for a populous that was resentful of their British heritage. He proposed countless other words like masheen for machine and wimmin for women. I'm surprised any of it caught on really.

Morales can refuse a minor league assignment because of his service time.

O.K. I just looked up Loup's Bizaro stat line. 6 IP, 8 K, 0 BB, 5,82 FIP. I have no idea what to make of that but I'm fine with demoting him to get a decent look at Morales.

His velo is down, that's literally his only problem. He can control his pitches but when his fastball tops out in the high 80s with no movement it's usually hittable.

 

That's why I was asking about Morales getting a shot, he should get one imo
