It's ridiculous that Corey Seager isn't starting the All-star game.

Also - remember when Puig could hit? What happened? injuries?

I really don't understand why Kimbrel made the All-Star team. Especially with 4 Red Sox starting. Taking relievers over starters is stupid. Brad Brach is a bit of head scratcher we well.

Even though the pitches are similar, I doubt the home run derby is anything remotely like batting practice. BP is such a routine thing that players generally have very relaxed, compact swings. The home run derby is serious pressure, and pretty much everyone is giving 100% effort to mash every ball out of the park.

Bonds predicts that if Ichiro was in the HR Derby he'd win. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1JR8_TUnSU0

I for one would like to see Ichiro in the Derby, he's always been rumoured to hit bombs in BP constantly.

I've seen ichiro taking BP a few times. He can hit 200 deck shots routine. At first I thought Russell Branyan was imitating Ichiro for a second.

That's bizarre. Up until this post, I had assumed it was all ********.

Man I never realized just how durable Ichiro has been throughout his career (aside from obvious hit lists he's approaching). His games played is insane, especially considering he didn't join the majors until age 27.

162 games even at age 38.

He's always claimed that if he decided to hit .220 he could probably hit 40 home runs.

Meh

Only thing Sanchez has over him is his W-L

Not to mention the Jays already have 3 all stars, probably a 4th

This will be the Indians 3rd

Kluber is really good

WTF

Uhh don't you understand that this is the part of the thread where as Blue Jays fans we're all supposed to blindly say "yeah, f*** that *******" as if we are at a Trump rally.

Corey Kluber is objectively better than Aaron Sanchez. Plus I don't want Sanchez throwing any extra innings in meaningless games, so I'm cool with this.

Fixed title. You guys are right nothing against Kluber. I thought Kluber, Sanchez, Fulmer and Quintana should have got consideration. Butt hurt Jays fan in me wanted Sanchez Edited by Bojangles

The All Star game should be based on a bit more than the first half of the current season anyway.

Sanchez and Kluber are basically tied in the ratio trio right now. ERA=Sanch; FIP=Klube; xFIP=tie.

Kluber has way more star power.

He's just as if not more deserving.

Sanchez probably benefits more from the extra time off.

Meh, Kluber is just as deserving or more and it's probably best for the team if Sanchez gets to rest. He'll get his accolades in due time.
