Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted July 21, 2016 Posted July 21, 2016 Abreu for Tepera, Goins, Dickey and Thole? Rum Rum Rum! I'm Dum Dum Dum! Good trade for both team
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted July 21, 2016 Posted July 21, 2016 The same guy who wouldn't trade Hoffman for anyone. His valuations are a little bit off. He didn't even draft him in our league?
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted July 21, 2016 Posted July 21, 2016 He still has three years of team control at a very affordable rate. Some team is going to convince themselves that he's not finished yet at 29 years old and make a better offer than a couple of fringy guys not even in the top-100 prospects. I think they'd be pretty justified asking for Stroman actually. Both having previous success, both having absolute s*** years. Abreu with the better track record, Stroman cheaper. 4 years of control for Stro, 3 for Abreu. I'm not endorsing that move, but I'm pretty sure that's what the ask would be given the poor state of the team's farm. I could see the White Sox asking for him, just not realistic though, I think. As a 1 for 1 the value isn't even close to equal imo. Would be interesting if we could get him for prospects though...how many contending teams are looking for a 1B/DH?
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted July 21, 2016 Posted July 21, 2016 The same guy who wouldn't trade Hoffman for anyone. His valuations are a little bit off. I said I wouldn't for an offensive player not named Trout. We needed pitching badly last season. Great pitching wins games for the most part. You have to build a TEAM, not just hope you can win 10-9 every game.
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted July 21, 2016 Posted July 21, 2016 He didn't even draft him in our league? I should have, I screwed up in my minors picks for the most part
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted July 21, 2016 Posted July 21, 2016 Eaton could be a great target if he's available. Gives us some insurance for the OF next year and beyond. Can adequately cover CF if anything happens to Pillar. Having a bit of a down-year, but he could easily bounce back.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted July 21, 2016 Posted July 21, 2016 I expect Josh Reddick to be a Blue Jay soon.
Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted July 22, 2016 Posted July 22, 2016 I said I wouldn't for an offensive player not named Trout. Bryce Harper? Giancarlo Stanton? Kris Bryant? lol, sorry

Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted July 22, 2016 Posted July 22, 2016 I expect Josh Reddick to be a Blue Jay soon. Jesus christ dude, give it a rest. You don't need to mention Josh Reddick 5 times a day in multiple threads.
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted July 22, 2016 Posted July 22, 2016 Bryce Harper? Giancarlo Stanton? Kris Bryant? lol, sorry Don't think Harper was suggested he would have been the same as Trout. I said no on Stanton until I saw how he recovered from the HBP...I said no on Bryant because where was he going to play, this was when he was a 3B. Let's not muddy this thread...just go back and read the Hoffman...all the craziness is in there lol

glory Old-Timey Member Posted July 22, 2016 Posted July 22, 2016 Man, just stretch out Jesse Chavez instead of trading for Cashner or really anyone rumored to be on the move. Mediocrity at its finest with some of the names rumored to be available.
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted July 22, 2016 Posted July 22, 2016 Listen bro, look up the attrition rate on pitching prospects and get back to me It was about trading him for the right piece if he was to be traded.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted July 22, 2016 Posted July 22, 2016 Jesus christ dude, give it a rest. You don't need to mention Josh Reddick 5 times a day in multiple threads. But dude what if it happens. I got the whole Beatle Juice thing going on.
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted July 22, 2016 Posted July 22, 2016 But dude what if it happens. I got the whole Beatle Juice thing going on. It definitely could happen, and might. I also like Josh Reddick, but I would rather just sign him in the offseason.
Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted July 22, 2016 Posted July 22, 2016 It was about trading him for the right piece if he was to be traded. Well if i could get Kris Bryant for Hoffman, I'd make the trade then flip Bryant for Noah Syndergaard.

BTS Community Moderator Posted July 22, 2016 Posted July 22, 2016 Jose Abreu suxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Maybe. But I suspect that at least a couple teams would wager more than Tellez and a shitbag that he doesn't.
Grant77 Old-Timey Member Posted July 22, 2016 Posted July 22, 2016 O's are apparently looking at Hellickson... any ideas on what he might cost us? With the thin pitching market, I suspect they could get someone comparable to Jon Harris, perhaps more.
