fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted June 4, 2016 Posted June 4, 2016 lol Wright is so s*** right now. I'd take until 2 strikes unless I get a hanger with no movement
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted June 4, 2016 Posted June 4, 2016 refreshing to see someone else have to deal with Passed balls from a knuckleballer.
Governator Community Moderator Posted June 4, 2016 Posted June 4, 2016 what the hell was EE doing A terrible slider trying to avoid the graceful footwork of Hanley.
TheHurl Site Manager Posted June 4, 2016 Posted June 4, 2016 I love the adage that Shields hasn't had success in a pitching park in SD. He's had like a 3.30 ERA there. He's terrible on the road...just like he's been all his career.
Yorkshire Blue Jay Verified Member Posted June 4, 2016 Posted June 4, 2016 The third inning is not the time for Intentional walks. We have to start to consider the real issue with Stroman if he has to resort to intentionally walking guys in the third. He needs to go back to Buffalo and figure out whats happened. Right now this will be 6-7 nothing really fast. Given it was Ortiz, you have to consider the situation 1 out, men at 2nd & 3rd, 1st base open, the way Ortiz is killing it this year and with his lack of pace he doesn't beat out many double plays AS WE SAW!! To me it was a no brainer. A double play ends the inning! As I said I quite like Gibby but that was a shocker of a non decision.
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted June 4, 2016 Posted June 4, 2016 Nice hit!!!!! We're in flight now!!! Keep it going!!
Rovert Verified Member Posted June 4, 2016 Posted June 4, 2016 Yes merry go round this guy http://i63.tinypic.com/28iummx.gif
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted June 4, 2016 Posted June 4, 2016 If Smoak shortened up more often like he just did there, he'd be so much more productive. You need to advance there Smoak.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted June 4, 2016 Posted June 4, 2016 Guys on the bases have to anticipate the ball getting away here.
Governator Community Moderator Posted June 4, 2016 Posted June 4, 2016 Red Sox fans are swearing at their TV. I just know it.
baloojayz Verified Member Posted June 4, 2016 Posted June 4, 2016 Just take the walk if hes giving it to you
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted June 4, 2016 Posted June 4, 2016 Too bad we have no speedy guys hahaha. I'd be telling EE to take a few steps down each pitch, who knows if you get another wild one..
intentional wok Old-Timey Member Posted June 4, 2016 Posted June 4, 2016 I love the adage that Shields hasn't had success in a pitching park in SD. He's had like a 3.30 ERA there. He's terrible on the road...just like he's been all his career. Amazing how people will cherrypick how they use stats.
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted June 4, 2016 Posted June 4, 2016 Is this the first time Travis faces a knuckler?
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted June 4, 2016 Posted June 4, 2016 Knew he was going to go fastball there.
Jrgarza88 Verified Member Posted June 4, 2016 Posted June 4, 2016 Now we get the double play ball and waste this inning
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted June 4, 2016 Posted June 4, 2016 Learning curve for the youngster! I was wondering why he wasn't hitting leadoff today with JD out but I saw Wright was pitching. Come no Martin
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted June 4, 2016 Posted June 4, 2016 That's f***ing horrible. LOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted June 4, 2016 Posted June 4, 2016 You just knew that going to happen. Smoak not advancing costs them a run.
