My position is that he is a reasonably paid backend starter and should be extended at a reasonable price. On this board since everyone finds him annoying that counts as "fanboyism." He's pitching a decent game and still getting s*** on that's how much he's hated.

I didn't mean disrespect, was just worked up.

 

Look, I understand where you're coming from but I think a guy like Hutchison could give us very similar results at a fraction of the price. Pass balls are a thing with Dickey, hell that's how they scored today. That's a real negative aspect to his game. A walk, pass ball and a double is often how he implodes. He demands the shittiest catcher in the league, I miss Navarro as a backup and prefer him as an Estrada personal catcher anyday to this combo. It's not just that he's annoying, that's an obvious factor but the s*** that comes with it for just a 5th starter should be unnecessary in this league
