Considering the amount of prospects traded, I'd say the Jays. You can't trade that many prospects in 3 years and have one playoff appearance for it. At least the other teams just overpaid free agents for the most part.

I say Nationals. Picked almost every year to make the WS and have done s*** all. Have the best player in baseball and a very good starting rotation on paper but can't seem to win anything. Disaster all around.

Dodgers at least usually make the playoffs, though with that payroll and Kershaw.... they should probably have more to show for it.

Not sure how anyone can not say the Nationals..

This and also The amount of money spent by the dodgers is atrocious so you would hope to see them in the NLCS at least.... But i would say the Nats.

Nationals for sure. The Pittsburgh Penguins of the MLB without the World Series appearances. Was a miserable team for years to pick up the #1 picks and have gotten how much value out of Harper and Strasburg?

Yanks and Sox might not have had realistic chances at competing for a championship because of bone head signings, but those bloated payrolls gotta at least get em on the vote list.

???

Red Sox won in 2013. Winning a World Series in one of the three years automatically disqualifies your team for being considered as disappointing.

I disagree with the Yankees as well. Their team was built to win in 2009 and they did do that. The bloated payroll you see now was a result of the attempt to win back then.

Dodgers. Like really we complain? Their payroll is DOUBLE ours and they have Clayton Kershaw with no ring to show for it. That's going all in and failing.

Easy, they just click the button next to a different team.

I said Dodgers because Mike Rizzo is an idiot. I don't expect much from the Nats and there's a lot of fluff between Harper, Strasburg and Scherzer.

I knew someone was going to be a smartass.

On paper the Nationals were the most complete team. 1-5 were solid with 2 aces. Around the diamond they barely had a hole. The Dodgers were just really stupid with their money. ie. taking all the Red Sox contracts and giving Kemp the money he got. They are getting better now I wouldn't say they were expected to win it all over the Nationals the past 3 years.

Just cause a team has a high payroll it doesn't mean the team underperformed. I could put together a team with the highest contracts in the MLB and I doubt they would do that great.

No one has really expected the Yankees to be great the last 3 years either.
