fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2016 Posted May 15, 2016 I don't recognize the man being called up
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2016 Posted May 15, 2016 This certainly isn't good. Jays need another lefty pretty badly, Antolin has nice K numbers but the walks are scary.
BTS Community Moderator Posted May 15, 2016 Posted May 15, 2016 On the bright side, we're not locked into an expensive multi-year deal with this reliever.
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2016 Posted May 15, 2016 I don't recognize the man being called up He's about as reliable as anyone on this board.

BTS Community Moderator Posted May 15, 2016 Posted May 15, 2016 haha weren't you advocating for signing him long term recently? Like two years ago I thought the window passed to get him on a cheap deal with team options. Something like buying out his last two arb years with options on his frst FA year or two would have been nice.
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2016 Posted May 15, 2016 I was going to suggest they might be calling him up because his arm is the freshest but he pitched yesterday so I guess they just want a closer look at this guy. Eleven walks isn't that bad when it comes against 25ks. I'd certainly rather have a legit strikeout guy over more garbage from the likes of Venditte and Tepera.

That jose quintana deal looks so awesome, similarly bought out his arbitrary years (5y/25m) and tacked on two team option years at the end of it. You're right about the window, gotta do it early in arbitrary years to get maximum rapage contract

I can't even think of a comparable right now.

They also probably don't mind if they have to DFA him. I still would have grabbed Venditte.

Cyborg Verified Member Posted May 15, 2016 Posted May 15, 2016 Venditte should be a LOOGY at the MLB level. Gibby gave him 5 lefties and 16 righties. Hardly fair.
intentional wok Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2016 Posted May 15, 2016 Venditte should be a LOOGY at the MLB level. Gibby gave him 5 lefties and 16 righties. Hardly fair. This is weird. Venditte even prefers his left arm when given the choice.
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2016 Posted May 15, 2016 That's nice but there's no point in calling up Venditte if Gibby won't use him right (which btw doesn't surprise me at all, I even said back in spring traning that I didn't trust Gibby to use him right).

Wait or is that Left? Mutha f***er keeps switching the hands dealt him! Lol
BigBounceyBlueBalls Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2016 Posted May 15, 2016 To you maybe, I am sure his mom would fight you on this point! Mama Venditte gonna kick your ass!
admin Site Manager Posted May 15, 2016 Posted May 15, 2016 I don't recognize the man being called up Sounds like we just found our guy for late inning one run games.

BigBounceyBlueBalls Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2016 Posted May 15, 2016 Was this really the best we could do?
