You'd have to be a compete moron to trade Mike Trout. I heard some idiot traded Mike Trout in a dynasty league. What a douche!

I don't get the Trout trade talk. Yeah the Angels aren't great but they have him for 4 more years after this one. There isn't any urgency to move him.

Red Sox would be insanely good at that point. Call up Benintendi and Moncada and they would be unstoppable.

They could come up with a fair package without hurting their depth too much, methinks. Which is scary. Also plz don't trade Benintendi.

The problem is they have so many holes to fill to be competitive and their prospect system is literally the worst in the league.

 

Its a no win situation. By the time they get the system back up to be able to help the team, those four years will be up. The bad contracts make them unable to surround him with top free agents to fill the holes.

 

A really s***** situation to have the game's best player in.

I dunno. I could see it making sense for LA. They won't be good anytime soon and they could deal Trout for real impact talent that the Red Sox definitely do possess.

Any trade involving Trout would be a loss in value for the Angels, but it is pretty wasteful to have the guy stick around for a team that will not be able to compete unless it signs a shitload of FA.

I think the chances of it happening this year are barely above 0%. Next year same thing.

 

Maybe when he's got 1 or 2 years left on his deal.

Trout's trade value goes down the longer they wait. Angels have barren farm and holes throughout the lineup. Trading him now for a haul makes sense.

With the way that team looks you have to at least entertain offers. It can't hurt to see what is out there.

Is Pujols contract even tradable? After his tens years is up he is signed for another ten years to be in their front office isn't he? Or would he just go back to the Angels after.

I think this is close to reasonable, and maybe even the right move for the Angels with the current state they're in. But still don't see it happening, the backlash from fans alone would give them pause.

Trout is worth what? $300-350M in surplus? Its a lot but hes certainly not untradable. Some team could come up with that value.
