Who needs David Price?

Happ 13M

Estrada 13M

Sanchez 0.5M

Stroman 0.5M

This year and next we have 4/5 of the AL's best starting rotation for 27M.

Less than Price alone is getting from Boston

Keep your fingers crossed the performance and health continues. But ya, that's a stark comparison. Its $40mm with Liriano.

Yeah. I would assume that at last one of Happ/Estrada/Sanchez isn't as good next year. Then again I would expect that Stroman will be better than his overall 2016 so far.

Remember when we were set with Morrow, Marcum, Cecil and Romero at the core? Dark times ensued. Mets fans this year must be losing it.

Yeah it's difficult to project too far in the future. All the more reason to like the deals our guys are on - not a whole lot of commitment if one of them shits the bed

Are you kidding, much better times than couple years earlier than that.

I saw this Scott Richmond gif:

Totally forgot about him.

Pulled him up. 2009 he had 138IP with 5.52ERA. Imagine we had a pitcher with that ERA now? Our SP was terrible:

Tallet 5.32ERA

Cecil 5.30 ERA

Three guys in our rotation mid 5 ERAs. Unbelievable. lol

Nice, I was trying to remember Scott Richmond's name last and kept thinking Scott Diamond. For some odd reason, I flashed back to the edition of the WBC where Richmond was Canada's "ace".

Yeah when I saw the name Scott Richmond, I thought, "He was pretty decent for us, wasn't he?". Nope.

Not kidding.

2010 FIP:

Brett Cecil - 4.03

Rick Romero - 3.64

Brendan Morrow - 3.16

Shaun Marcum - 3.74

They were all young and cheap. Scott Richmond was awful but he threw most of his innings in 2009. Dark times.

Twins are 8th in the MLB in K% at 22% so what are your predictions for Stro's line?

Mine is this:

7.2 IP, 5 H, 2 R, 0 BB, 12 K

It's a good thing they didn't send him to AAA, eh?

Let's be honest here, none of us saw this streak coming. This is the best he's looked in his entire career, even including MiLB. I admit I was wrong about the 2SM/Sinker. What he's doing with it and the Slider is fantastic and no one has that type of GB% and K% combo. It's unparalleled.

He was always an MLB starter. Pitching like a 2-3-win starter earlier, and and ace now. Talk of sending him down to AAA was very silly.
