intentional wok Old-Timey Member Posted April 17, 2016 Posted April 17, 2016 Of course it leads to a run. Brutal mistakes so far this year.
Belliss101 Old-Timey Member Posted April 17, 2016 Posted April 17, 2016 Martin's game calling is pathetic
THANOS Old-Timey Member Posted April 17, 2016 Posted April 17, 2016 Man, it was a good pitch. Left him with splinters. Maybe, but he had the timing figured out. If there was a better mix off OS and FBs, maybe that's a swinging strike. And just as a type this, Martin called "yet another" 2 strike fastball.
Governator Community Moderator Posted April 17, 2016 Posted April 17, 2016 That was a s***** sequence of events.
Statman Verified Member Posted April 17, 2016 Posted April 17, 2016 Martin's game calling is pathetic Also add in declining framing and bat.
Effit Old-Timey Member Posted April 17, 2016 Posted April 17, 2016 Can't give Boston an inch, they'll take a mile.
Belliss101 Old-Timey Member Posted April 17, 2016 Posted April 17, 2016 Okay offense... A few more runs would be excellent right now.
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted April 17, 2016 Posted April 17, 2016 This is terrible pitch calling. 98% fastballs today, even though he has a decent curve and maybe only thrown 1 changeup.
Slade Old-Timey Member Posted April 17, 2016 Posted April 17, 2016 Martin's game calling is pathetic Why would you blame this on Martin? Sanchez is not going to throw off speed stuff if he doesn't want to. Obviously not comfortable with it today.
THANOS Old-Timey Member Posted April 17, 2016 Posted April 17, 2016 I don't blame Sanchez for either of those hits. Martin's game calling has been very mediocre this game and awful the past couple innings.

Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted April 17, 2016 Posted April 17, 2016 Has anyone bothered to admit the possibility that Sanchez just doesn't want to throw his secondary pitches?
Hal Johnson Verified Member Posted April 17, 2016 Posted April 17, 2016 Has anyone bothered to admit the possibility that Sanchez just doesn't want to throw his secondary pitches? Yeah, that's very likely it. But, why would he not want to?

Obviously not comfortable with it today. And how do you get comfortable with your change-up throwing it a total of once in this game?
Trouba95 Old-Timey Member Posted April 17, 2016 Posted April 17, 2016 Some add on runs would sure be nice.
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted April 17, 2016 Posted April 17, 2016 Sanchez today 99.99% fastballs
Governator Community Moderator Posted April 17, 2016 Posted April 17, 2016 This is terrible pitch calling. 98% fastballs today, even though he has a decent curve and maybe only thrown 1 changeup. I saw Sanchez shake offa pitch for the outside fastball instead last inning. I don't know if its all Martin, I think Sanchez made this plan.
Slade Old-Timey Member Posted April 17, 2016 Posted April 17, 2016 And how do you get comfortable with your change-up throwing it a total of once in this game? Ok but how is Martin suppose to force him to throw it? It doesn't matter if he calls it or not, if Sanchez doesn't want to throw it he's not going to.
vdubmvp Old-Timey Member Posted April 17, 2016 Posted April 17, 2016 Has anyone bothered to admit the possibility that Sanchez just doesn't want to throw his secondary pitches? No, it's obviously all Martin.
