burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted April 6, 2016 Posted April 6, 2016 Yeah its ********. Especially after the "wearing dresses" comment yesterday. Please don't tell me you actually gave a s*** about that comment?
bones10 Old-Timey Member Posted April 6, 2016 Posted April 6, 2016 Thats what I would have done. If that's what we would of done why is this bafoon still manager of a major league club. Damn fam; losing games like this doesn't get anymore frustrating
jerry Verified Member Posted April 6, 2016 Posted April 6, 2016 When Leons came out who else was saying " who the %$^& is this guy"
JFD Old-Timey Member Posted April 6, 2016 Posted April 6, 2016 Warmed up last night and pitched the night before. Don't forget its a day game today so you lose 6 hours rest you normally would have. who gives a s*** if he warmed up last night. that is a ******** excuse.
Horses Fart Old-Timey Member Posted April 6, 2016 Posted April 6, 2016 Gibby on JD....."I don't think and it shouldn't be". Hmmm looks like JD's f***ed.
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted April 6, 2016 Posted April 6, 2016 Please don't tell me you actually gave a s*** about that comment? No, but i'm saying if you can't pitch Monday, warm up Tuesday, and pitch again on Wednesday then you're a puss
KinofChaos Verified Member Posted April 6, 2016 Posted April 6, 2016 Should be 4-0 somehow managed to go 2-2, what a brutal way to start the season.
jerry Verified Member Posted April 6, 2016 Posted April 6, 2016 That's bull about burning him out they're 4 games into the season
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted April 6, 2016 Posted April 6, 2016 Should be 4-0 somehow managed to go 2-2, what a brutal way to start the season. I wouldn't say SHOULD, but it easily COULD have been 4-0
KinofChaos Verified Member Posted April 6, 2016 Posted April 6, 2016 That's bull about burning him out they're 4 games into the season And an off day tomorrow, and another one coming up soon.
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted April 6, 2016 Posted April 6, 2016 That's bull about burning him out they're 4 games into the season With an off day tomorrow
King Old-Timey Member Posted April 6, 2016 Posted April 6, 2016 Zaun and Jamie ripping into Gibby lol
nextyear Verified Member Posted April 6, 2016 Posted April 6, 2016 Listening to Greg Zaun is starting to sound like listening to Donald Trump. He is bombastic just to be bombastic. Apparently the "punching Judy's" were responsible for the team getting 46 strikeouts in the series. Does that include Martin? Bautista had 3 today, Barney and Carrera had none. Start paying attention Zaun!
KinofChaos Verified Member Posted April 6, 2016 Posted April 6, 2016 Zaun and Jamie ripping into Gibby lol As they should be, awful management.
el duque Verified Member Posted April 6, 2016 Posted April 6, 2016 Modern baseball has evolved to protect starters and create these bullpens with less talented pitchers so they can come as 7th and 8th inning set up pitchers before the closer. Perhaps the Blue jays should work on a more ancient formula where the starter goes 8 innings and have two closers (Osuna and Cecil) the rest use them as middle relievers when the starters failed. We can not win is we lose the games we are winning after 7 innings.
Pendleton Old-Timey Member Posted April 6, 2016 Posted April 6, 2016 80% Gibbons 15% Leons Furniture and 5% Floyd Floyd did his job just fine, didn't allow any hard contact. His biggest mistake was handing the ball to Gibbons when he shuffled out there.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted April 6, 2016 Posted April 6, 2016 Gibby on JD....."I don't think and it shouldn't be". Hmmm looks like JD's f***ed. pretty sure JD had a calf thing problem last year too.
nextyear Verified Member Posted April 6, 2016 Posted April 6, 2016 Greg Zaun on Tim & Sid sounds like Don Cherry.
Cyborg Verified Member Posted April 6, 2016 Posted April 6, 2016 80% Gibbons 15% Leons Furniture and 5% Floyd 0% Floyd
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted April 6, 2016 Posted April 6, 2016 How many dollars Storen is earning this year...9? f*** Gibbons, use your pieces.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted April 6, 2016 Posted April 6, 2016 80% Gibbons 15% Leons Furniture and 5% Floyd Floyd was outstanding, he shouldn't carry any of the blame.
havok24 Old-Timey Member Posted April 6, 2016 Posted April 6, 2016 Floyd was outstanding, he shouldn't carry any of the blame. Yeah Floyd was awesome. Should have stayed in the game.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted April 6, 2016 Posted April 6, 2016 With Floyd and Chavez looking good at least the top 5 in the bullpen is good. Leon needs to be DFA'd. Junkballer.
BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted April 6, 2016 Posted April 6, 2016 With Floyd and Chavez looking good at least the top 5 in the bullpen is good. Leon needs to be DFA'd. Junkballer. Or at least use him as your this year's mop up replacement for Hendriks lol. Gibby drives me f***ing nuts on pen mgm. Honestly. Nevermind Storen, I would have been much happier with Floyd staying in over Leon. He was throwing well.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted April 6, 2016 Posted April 6, 2016 So now that we hear Donaldson strained his calf in Montreal. Opening the season on the s***** turfs of Montreal and Tampa certainly didn't go well. Both Donaldson and Saunders hurt their legs.
Rube Marquard Verified Member Posted April 6, 2016 Posted April 6, 2016 Anyone have any real news in Storen yet? Or was it, as I suspect, just anther case of Gibbons being the complete f***ing imbecile he is.
baloojayz Verified Member Posted April 6, 2016 Posted April 6, 2016 Why do managers feel relievers can't pitch 1 inning 4 games in a row, but starters can pitch 9 innings in a single game? Sometimes I think relievers have it too easy these days looking at what guys like Storen and Lowe make compared to guys like Happ and Estrada. In a 4 game series, relievers should be able to pitch in at least 3 of 4.
bronson44 Verified Member Posted April 6, 2016 Posted April 6, 2016 To be fair to Gibby, I remember Storen saying part of the reason he struggled outside of the closer role was from all the warming in the bullpen. I'm sure he told this to Gibbons and he's trying to avoid it.
