HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted April 6, 2016 Posted April 6, 2016 I would be more angry over this game than last night's
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted April 6, 2016 Posted April 6, 2016 Were Smoak and Saunders unavailable too? Come on Gibby. Saunders definitely unavailable
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted April 6, 2016 Posted April 6, 2016 Were Smoak and Saunders unavailable too? Come on Gibby. Saunders was probably unavailable, so you can't pinch-hit for Carrera! Because god forbid you have to play Colabello in LF for an inning on the off-chance you actually tie the game, that would be untenable.
ValiantJaysFan Verified Member Posted April 6, 2016 Posted April 6, 2016 Saunders was unavailable yes but why not bring in Smoak for zeke I have no idea Well y'know we want them to have fresh legs, we really do.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted April 6, 2016 Posted April 6, 2016 Well, Leon just booked a DFA after that outing.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted April 6, 2016 Posted April 6, 2016 Let's hire him as manager At the very least he wouldn't hit Pillar lead off.
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted April 6, 2016 Posted April 6, 2016 Were Smoak and Saunders unavailable too? Come on Gibby. Smoak and Saunders' wife uses dresses, and Gibbons hate dresses.
Governator Community Moderator Posted April 6, 2016 Posted April 6, 2016 Another really s***** loss. This one on Gibbons. 80% Gibbons 15% Leons Furniture and 5% Floyd
Jim_Ackers_balls Verified Member Posted April 6, 2016 Posted April 6, 2016 Same ********. No bullpen. Jays can only score runs on home runs.
ValiantJaysFan Verified Member Posted April 6, 2016 Posted April 6, 2016 Ross Atkins, probably: "All I saw today were sunshine and rainbows and positives. We had a positive experience in Tampa. Everyone's been great. We're all about opportunity, right? So, it was positive to see Leon get an opportunity to pitch in a high leverage situation against a divisional rival. The important thing is that he learns from this experience and takes the positives out of the situation."
Pendleton Old-Timey Member Posted April 6, 2016 Posted April 6, 2016 Definitely a questionable decision from Gibby, I feel like Floyd could have stayed in to get us to Osuna. That being said, on a day when two of your high leverage relievers are unavailable, one 4th inning home run (from a guy not even healthy enough to finish the game) isn't going to cut it.
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted April 6, 2016 Posted April 6, 2016 I still don't see why Storen was unavailable. We have an offday tomorrow
KinofChaos Verified Member Posted April 6, 2016 Posted April 6, 2016 Jays will get two guy s on with no outs and fail to move them over our get any runs. Classic jays Yep frustrating.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted April 6, 2016 Posted April 6, 2016 Lmao what? He's been hitting line drives all over the place. He did have 1 ball that should have been a HR but he's struck out 5/12 times. And in the spring he certainly didn't hit well either (It is spring, I know). I know SSS and all but I'm just saying he hasn't looked good.
KinofChaos Verified Member Posted April 6, 2016 Posted April 6, 2016 We have an off day tomorrow, there is no exucse for Gibby today, atrocious. Wish they fired this clown in the offseason.
BTS Community Moderator Posted April 6, 2016 Posted April 6, 2016 Is Storen hurt or something? I'm sorry, but he threw one inning on Monday, it's now Wednesday, and there's an off day tomorrow. I know he warmed yesterday, but come on.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted April 6, 2016 Posted April 6, 2016 I still don't see why Storen was unavailable. We have an offday tomorrow Warmed up last night and pitched the night before. Don't forget its a day game today so you lose 6 hours rest you normally would have.

intentional wok Old-Timey Member Posted April 6, 2016 Posted April 6, 2016 Atkins just sent Gibby an email about using Leon but Gibby will never get it because he hasn't checked jgibbons17@yahoo.com in weeks.

If he can't throw one inning because he warmed up the day before we have a bigger issue.
jerry Verified Member Posted April 6, 2016 Posted April 6, 2016 At least gibbons didn't waste any time showing shapiro how brutal he is managing the pen

Pitchers lose effectiveness pitching 3 days in a row and I don't see how much money he makes is relevant.

I'm willing to give the benefit of the doubt that there was a reason re: Storen. If Gibby's so "methodical" that he refused to use Osuna until the 9th, there has to be a reason Storen wasn't even warming for the 8th. If there's no reason, then I don't even know what to say to that.

If he blew his arm out today because he warmed up yesterday, I'd be complaining that we traded for someone who can't pitch in a key situation because he warmed up a day earlier.
