Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted April 6, 2016 Posted April 6, 2016 Need to see it again to see if Bautista touched him before the ball was thrown or not. Before it was thrown
jays_fever Old-Timey Member Posted April 6, 2016 Posted April 6, 2016 So it goes from one extreme to the other lol. The referee's and umpires in pro sports continue to be 1 giant joke
TBJ12 Verified Member Posted April 6, 2016 Posted April 6, 2016 Anyone bashing Jose should give their head a shake. This is a play that's been around baseball forever, no f***ing way should a play like that alter the outcome of a game.
KinofChaos Verified Member Posted April 6, 2016 Posted April 6, 2016 That was the right call...the offense totally s*** the bed and stranded way too many runners.
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted April 6, 2016 Posted April 6, 2016 Can you explain the rule and how it applied there? Did they rule that Bautista intentionally reached out to affect the throw? Pretty sure that was the call, it's not he Utley rule in place, I don't think you were ever able to reach out and trip someone to break up the DP
TheHurl Site Manager Posted April 6, 2016 Posted April 6, 2016 First football and now baseball. Safety first is ruining our sports! yeah players dying at 40 is much better.
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted April 6, 2016 Posted April 6, 2016 yes that is the rule. You've never been allowed to grab that foot of someone that is throwing. I will ask that someone else post the actual rule as I have a huge paper to finish tonight. Oh no worries just making sure that's what you were saying.
Governator Community Moderator Posted April 6, 2016 Posted April 6, 2016 I wonder what Gose Gossage thinks of that play.
thatoneguy Old-Timey Member Posted April 6, 2016 Posted April 6, 2016 That was the right call...the offense totally s*** the bed and stranded way too many runners. Your record player has malfunctioned again.
nmrch Verified Member Posted April 6, 2016 Posted April 6, 2016 If Jose reached out, he's a moron. This is some grade A horseshit, but it looked like he swiped. he did reach out, maybe not intentionally but his arm did hit the fielder's leg and it wasn't close to the bag.
bowld Verified Member Posted April 6, 2016 Posted April 6, 2016 I just don't like how it's an automatic dp. You cannot just assume EE would have been out
GD Old-Timey Member Posted April 6, 2016 Posted April 6, 2016 Not really we shat the bed a few times this game. Also I think this has nothing to do with the new rule, I don't think you were ever able to tackle with anything other than your legs to break up a DP None of this has anything to do with what I said Kilace can eat s***
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted April 6, 2016 Posted April 6, 2016 Battista initiated contact Tony's back in town?
JaysAllMighty Old-Timey Member Posted April 6, 2016 Posted April 6, 2016 They would have never made a call like this against any other team. Canada gets the shaft..... AGAIN!
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted April 6, 2016 Posted April 6, 2016 None of this has anything to do with what I said Kilace can eat s*** you really need to calm down brah, you're acting like I posted nudes of your girlfriend or something?
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted April 6, 2016 Posted April 6, 2016 Anyone bashing Jose should give their head a shake. This is a play that's been around baseball forever, no f***ing way should a play like that alter the outcome of a game. It should never be an automatic double play unless you take the guy out. This is BS. Absolute BS. Edwin was safe regardless
Governator Community Moderator Posted April 6, 2016 Posted April 6, 2016 Worst part was EE beat out that throw regardless and there is no consideration for that? I can understand putting he go ahead run back to 3rd but don't see how Bautista gets 2 outs there himself.
TheHurl Site Manager Posted April 6, 2016 Posted April 6, 2016 After our starter was under 100 pitches and just had a dominant inning. and the bullpen was very fresh. Who's better most often...a fresh Cecil or a Dominant starter 4th time through? If he leaves him in and s*** happens it would be a lot more egregious
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted April 6, 2016 Posted April 6, 2016 None of this has anything to do with what I said Kilace can eat s*** You got it boss!
Effit Old-Timey Member Posted April 6, 2016 Posted April 6, 2016 So basically just go timidly into the bag while somehow staying a mile away from the fielder, just to be safe.
Captain Adama Old-Timey Member Posted April 6, 2016 Posted April 6, 2016 They would have never made a call like this against any other team. Canada gets the shaft..... AGAIN! Ok, one of the few things that pisses me off more than this play is this stupid, non-existent anti-Canada conspiracy ********. People need to stop f***ing doing it.
King Old-Timey Member Posted April 6, 2016 Posted April 6, 2016 and the bullpen was very fresh. Who's better most often...a fresh Cecil or a Dominant starter 4th time through? If he leaves him in and s*** happens it would be a lot more egregious Back to the homework for you

This is a play that's been around baseball forever, no f***ing way should a play like that alter the outcome of a game. Sliding through and making contact is. Sliding to the side and grabbing the ankle/leg after sliding past the 2nd baseman while he is making the throw isn't. That is blatant interference.
Jayzfan79 Verified Member Posted April 6, 2016 Posted April 6, 2016 If that was jeter sliding into goins foot with his hand no way that call is made.
SexyNewForum Verified Member Posted April 6, 2016 Posted April 6, 2016 So you're supposed to contort your body to dodge the second baseman and make sure he can make his throw un impeded ?! It's already f***ing hard enough to score runs wtf is this rule anyway. God damn on top of that you can't just assume the double play he would have beat it. On top of that they took all of about ten seconds to OVERTURN the on field decision f*** me that's supposed to be definitive! Mlb is f***ed their boner against the jays has been over a decade long // end rage
aselvana Verified Member Posted April 6, 2016 Posted April 6, 2016 bats f***ed up..one a positive note. f***IN SANCHEZ!!!! cy young
ProfessionalAtBat Verified Member Posted April 6, 2016 Posted April 6, 2016 yeah players dying at 40 is much better. The only player that will die before 40 in baseball is Pablo Sandoval
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted April 6, 2016 Posted April 6, 2016 he did reach out, maybe not intentionally but his arm did hit the fielder's leg and it wasn't close to the bag. Isn't the rule u have to make a legit slide...he slid over the base that's little league rules crap
