Heard Morosi mention Ender Inciarte on prime time as a guy that the jays should target next year (also he's a lefty hitter)

 

 

 

Think we could actually get him? f*** me that would be a great acquisition

 

 

edit: he just said that we will most likely target him

One hell of a defender but his bat isn't that great.

Yep. Great contact rates and high OBP. We don't need high SLG in this lineup; especially if we re-sign Edwin.

By August of next year we might be at a crossroads.

 

The Cubs would be in the midst of a dynasty while the Jays could be deadline sellers (especially if we do not replenish the bats we lose this offseason)

 

So? Even if the Jays were "out of it" it'd still be a great road trip.

I get the group sales package from the Cubs every year (since i did a bachelor party there), will be buying the Jays series in August and using them to pay for my trip there.

We're third!!!! f***. Tigers are one game back against us and don't they play the Twins a bunch of times?

 

Gotta aim for the division f*** it. WC is too unstable.

I don't think that doubling down on a guy who gets all of his value from outfield defense is a good idea. These guys don't usually age well. It's one thing to hold on to Pillar until his legs start to go, but trading a Sanchez or Stroman for another Pillar so we can park him in the corner OF is probably not the best use of resources.

I'd rather let a Matt Joyce or Seth Smith type platoon with Upton than pay a high price via trade. If we want a cheaper trade option, someone like Robbie Grossman would probably be available.

The Seattle series is looking like it could have major implications as well. Winning their last 7 games has vaulted them right back into the WC race when a week ago it looked like they were out of it.

Out of 41 qualified AL starters, Marcus Stroman is 2nd in xFIP and xFIP- tied with Archer and Carrasco. Pineda is in first.

 

Imagine how much better he would be if he actually listened to his coaches and peers.
