HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted September 14, 2016 Posted September 14, 2016 If only this were true http://www.sportsnet.ca/baseball/mlb/donaldson-anything-more-than-average-a-bonus-for-jays-rotation/ What a sharp drop off from last year...
sawyerford Verified Member Posted September 14, 2016 Posted September 14, 2016 (edited) Heard Morosi mention Ender Inciarte on prime time as a guy that the jays should target next year (also he's a lefty hitter) Think we could actually get him? f*** me that would be a great acquisition edit: he just said that we will most likely target him Edited September 14, 2016 by sawyerford
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted September 14, 2016 Posted September 14, 2016 2017 MLB Schedule is out (bit early no?) We're opening the season April 3rd in Baltimore for 2 then head for the Trop (yay) for 4 before having our home opener on the 11th against the BREWERS... http://toronto.bluejays.mlb.com/schedule/index.jsp?c_id=tor#y=2017&m=4&calendar=DEFAULT the road trip after the all star break is brutal.

sawyerford Verified Member Posted September 14, 2016 Posted September 14, 2016 One hell of a defender but his bat isn't that great. Huh? He has great bat. Would be a great addition.
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted September 14, 2016 Posted September 14, 2016 Huh? He has great bat. Would be a great addition. Great based upon what? Batting Average? His wRC+ is 95.
THANOS Old-Timey Member Posted September 14, 2016 Posted September 14, 2016 Huh? He has great bat. Would be a great addition. Yep. Great contact rates and high OBP. We don't need high SLG in this lineup; especially if we re-sign Edwin.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted September 14, 2016 Posted September 14, 2016 By August of next year we might be at a crossroads. The Cubs would be in the midst of a dynasty while the Jays could be deadline sellers (especially if we do not replenish the bats we lose this offseason) So? Even if the Jays were "out of it" it'd still be a great road trip.
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted September 14, 2016 Posted September 14, 2016 Great based upon what? Batting Average? His wRC+ is 95. I'm with Hillary today---- http://www.madaboutmemes.com/uploads/memes/219.png Hopefully they play better on the road trip
TheHurl Site Manager Posted September 14, 2016 Posted September 14, 2016 I get the group sales package from the Cubs every year (since i did a bachelor party there), will be buying the Jays series in August and using them to pay for my trip there.

fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted September 15, 2016 Posted September 15, 2016 We're third!!!! f***. Tigers are one game back against us and don't they play the Twins a bunch of times? Gotta aim for the division f*** it. WC is too unstable.
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted September 15, 2016 Posted September 15, 2016 Why do people think like this? People are allergic to home runs lol

These guys don't usually age well. It's one thing to hold on to Pillar until his legs start to go, but trading a Sanchez or Stroman for another Pillar so we can park him in the corner OF is probably not the best use of resources.

I'd rather let a Matt Joyce or Seth Smith type platoon with Upton than pay a high price via trade. If we want a cheaper trade option, someone like Robbie Grossman would probably be available.

Winning their last 7 games has vaulted them right back into the WC race when a week ago it looked like they were out of it.
