puphood Verified Member Posted September 10, 2016 Posted September 10, 2016 I don't base my opinion on one game however last night he looked like total s*** and honestly even Colabello's never had a night that bad. He is supposed to be a elite outfielder with a bat and to be honest he hasn't shown up yet. I am not even racking him as this team as a whole got destroyed last night by s*** defence and no bats. The fans at the stadium should of demanded their money back as this team folded like dirty shirt and gave up........and that is not what a contending team does......good luck to them today and lets see some effort
Pendleton Old-Timey Member Posted September 10, 2016 Posted September 10, 2016 What games since he came have you missed. I saw them all and he isn't worth 1m let alone 20. At least there is hope for Travis, he is only trying too hard some times. Also foolish to base your opinion purely on stats. No one said he was worth $20M, nor are we paying him nearly that much. Common sense says that a large sample size of stats are worth exponentially more than one game. glory Old-Timey Member Posted September 10, 2016 Posted September 10, 2016 Ben Revere is in Washington sucking enormous dick. He's one of the worst players in baseball this year posting a wRC+ of 47 and -1.0 WAR. I know it's hard to imagine, but Upton's been better than Revere this year during his stint with the Jays. Think about that for a second and absorb how f***ing terrible Revere is and then never mention his name again please. The 2015 nostalgia will be strong as hell, especially if the Jays happen to miss the playoffs this season, so Revere > Upton just by the fact that he was on the 2015 roster.

The point here is he is getting the money, who cares where it is coming from and to the other players it would be bothersome to think he is taking up space on their bench. JMHO

I never said nor do I believe that Upton is worse than Collabello, however last nights performance has to go down as one of the worst by a outfield with the Jays and Collabello though a terrible outfielder never had as bad a night like Upton's last night. So settle down.......

G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted September 10, 2016 Author Posted September 10, 2016 Lopsided loss, close win Doesn't matter in the standings, it's still 1-1 against the team we need to beat Win tomorrow (and the SP is heavily in our favour) and we're tied with them for 1st again I'll take it

THANOS Old-Timey Member Posted September 11, 2016 Posted September 11, 2016 By xFIP only Shields, Weaver, and Santiago have been worse than Buchholz this year. We've already been dominated by Weaver this year, I wouldn't get too excited.
goldbug103 Verified Member Posted September 11, 2016 Posted September 11, 2016 Actually Suckholz has given up only 3 ER in his last 3 starts (19 IP) ... so basically we're f***ed. and Butthole has a history of dominating the 1 dimensional, right heavy jays. should be another one where the 1 d offense gets shutdown and cant score runs.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted September 11, 2016 Posted September 11, 2016 Looks like Greaseball has gotten the better of Edwin, Bautista, JD. http://dailybaseballdata.com/cgi-bin/dailyhit.pl#game2 Martin, Upton, and Pillar have had success. Also Goins (lol). Wowie look at those sample sizes

Gary2 Verified Member Posted September 11, 2016 Posted September 11, 2016 Like 98% meaningless Jose 70 PA... I would not be afraid to adjust his position slightly based on it.

Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted September 11, 2016 Posted September 11, 2016 Loved the emotion Osuna showed after the last out. Grilli is rubbing off on him and it's awesome

Grilli is rubbing off on him and it's awesome I don't remember him ever showing this kind of emotion. I got a hunch they feel the pressure and know they got to win.........Go Jays GO

I'll just assume the place was pretty toxic. Not bad all things considered, especially outside of the GDTs where people were understandably upset at the team and umpires. That being said, I have most of the trolls and whiners on ignore so who knows.

Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted September 12, 2016 Posted September 12, 2016 Looks like Dickey's being skipped... Liriano tomorrow, followed by Stroman and Estrada. I guess he'll take Sanchez's start, when they skip him later this week.

Thank god, he is a 50/50 proposition at best, he is very much on or getting completely rocked, which seems to have more often than not of late. Also it mean no Tole in the batting order ( :
glory Old-Timey Member Posted September 12, 2016 Posted September 12, 2016 I can't believe we are only 3 more weeks and less than a handful of starts away from never having to see Dickey start for the Jays again. It's like Christmas.
