Well that would make more sense. Morneau is a Canadian. Story is a Texan.

 

Story is getting Canadian votes because somehow Rockies and Jays fans decided on an alliance.

 

Jays and Braves fans did this a few years back w Delabar and Freeman on the final ballot. Both got in.

Freeman is also Canadian. Well atleast his parents are. He does plan to play for Canada in the World Baseball Classic.

Jays have scored more runs than any club since June 1st, and it isn't even close, all without Joey Bats!!

 

I still find it hard to believe that Carrera has provided more WAR in less PAs than Bautista this season.

If you think this correlates to Bautista, you're mistaken. Zeke has played well above projections, Bats has played well below... this will not come to fruition. Even thinking so, is ludicrous.

Really hoping Jose comes back to have a monster 2nd half. We need him. I already consider him gone as a FA...at least it would help us win this Div. His 1st half has been very mediocre for a guy who has averaged 5 WAR since he became a Jay in 2009.

Who is the Grilli equivalent of an outfielder that might be available? Trade for him, puts Bats at DH/1B, and see what happens.

Well to be fair, I don't think anyone that goes with the account name "banned" is really hiding from their past history. Mind you, I have some of the worst "Spanky" sense on the board so I don't actually know who this is. MJ?

Grilli equivalent as in what? Someone who would be almost free but we could reasonably expect to be good going forward?

 

There probably isn't one in terms of outfielders. Have to pay for a real human asset.
