bones10 Old-Timey Member Posted May 19, 2016 Posted May 19, 2016 Hale isn't messing around The f***? can parades play second? lmao
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted May 19, 2016 Posted May 19, 2016 Jimmy Paredes' bat cannot be kept out of the lineup. But in all seriousness I like this lineup.
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted May 19, 2016 Posted May 19, 2016 The f***? can parades play second? lmao He has plenty of times. That doesn't mean he can though. lol EDIT: Just looked and Paredes played more games at 2B in the minors than he did at any other position. He's worth giving a shot vs righties over Goins though.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted May 19, 2016 Posted May 19, 2016 Nice to see Bautista hitting leadoff. Paredes at 2nd is a disaster but maybe its because Flyball pitcher Estrada is on the mound.

burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted May 19, 2016 Posted May 19, 2016 Apparently Jose and JD approached the Jays coaching staff about the change.
Hal Johnson Verified Member Posted May 19, 2016 Posted May 19, 2016 Apparently Jose and JD approached the Jays coaching staff about the change. Really? Where did you read that?
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted May 19, 2016 Posted May 19, 2016 Really? Where did you read that?
Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted May 19, 2016 Posted May 19, 2016 Apparently Jose and JD approached the Jays coaching staff about the change. If they did, it's because they know the team needs a shakeup
Hal Johnson Verified Member Posted May 19, 2016 Posted May 19, 2016 Do you think part of it was Tulo requesting to hit behind Smoak and Saunders?
EdwinsParrot Old-Timey Member Posted May 19, 2016 Posted May 19, 2016 Interesting, never thought id see a lineup with jose leading off. Shake up is needed so i like it.
Candy Maldonado Old-Timey Member Posted May 19, 2016 Posted May 19, 2016 Part of it was never allowing Goins in the lineup again.
intentional wok Old-Timey Member Posted May 19, 2016 Posted May 19, 2016 As much criticism as I have for the big bats sinking this team, I have a lot of respect for them for doing this (if true). I doubt they arranged the lineup, but maybe they requested some reasonable optimization?
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted May 19, 2016 Posted May 19, 2016 Geezus how much better does that lineup look without Goins in it? Pillar at #9? That lineup just looks better if anything. Plus, it's got Jimmy Paredes in it.
Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted May 19, 2016 Posted May 19, 2016 Interesting that Martin was not part of that group.
intentional wok Old-Timey Member Posted May 19, 2016 Posted May 19, 2016 Interesting that Martin was not part of that group. The big four held their pow-wow just outside so Martin would miss it.
Cyborg Verified Member Posted May 19, 2016 Posted May 19, 2016 Holy s***. Nice lineup. Wonder if JD convinced Joey he should lead off to get more PA to get paid.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted May 19, 2016 Posted May 19, 2016 Getting more PA with guys on base for the Blue Jays best hitter to date Michael Saunders is nice too. I think I'd flip Saunders and Smoak but nothing to get worked up about. Hopefully the batting order change can get the bats going.
Cyborg Verified Member Posted May 19, 2016 Posted May 19, 2016 Switch Edwin and Smoak and that lineup looks optimal.
Cyborg Verified Member Posted May 19, 2016 Posted May 19, 2016 Interesting that Martin was not part of that group. Zwelling said Martin was included as well.
Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted May 19, 2016 Posted May 19, 2016 Zwelling said Martin was included as well. Good, the field general needs to be there.
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted May 19, 2016 Posted May 19, 2016 Goins definitely getting sent down went Travis is back. Jimmy Paredes stole his spot in the lineup.
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted May 19, 2016 Posted May 19, 2016 What's crazy is that all this time I thought Jose insisted on batting 3rd.
Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted May 19, 2016 Posted May 19, 2016 Expecting screaming right out of the gate as Jose tries to draw a walk
Belliss101 Old-Timey Member Posted May 19, 2016 Posted May 19, 2016 Goins definitely getting sent down went Travis is back. Jimmy Paredes stole his spot in the lineup. Any ball struck by Jimmy Paredes never lands.
