Sorry. I'll stop bring up statistics that disprove your false narrative. The last time the forum was this united against myself and the statistical data was when I insisted that Brett Cecil was a good pitcher. In fact, this is probably tame compared to that one. It's kind of hard to take any of your Sanchez comments seriously when the facts and logic are overwhelmingly against you. I can only laugh every time I hear "...but left handers....but the changeup....but his first 5 starts...". It's the same s*** over and over.

So you've already forgotten that you argued tooth and nail that Sanchez was superior to Stroman?

Could you stop using a triple slash for stats against a pitcher? Thanks.

If you were Grant why would you stop using a stat that puts Sanchez in a group with Betances, Chapman, Davis and Kenley Jansen?

Previously Grant was using ground ball rate, which put Sanchez in a group with Brandon League, Sam Dyson, Brad Ziegler and Zach Britton.

Only one of those guys is elite... So Grant, clever little rascal, switched to using triple slash, and now has Sanchez in the top tier with the best in baseball.

You're welcome to your opinion, but that is just semantics. Is Chris Davis not an elite power hitter because he has a 97 wRC+ against LHP's? Same goes for David Ortiz. Put in a lefty and they are both merely average. The total package for Davis, Ortiz, and Sanchez is elite though. That's what matters to me. Any incorrect usage is on Gibby's shoulders.

What a horrible comparison. An elite reliever has to be able to get both sides out, otherwise Aaron Loup isn't just a loogy, he's an elite reliever too.

Grant has an 80 troll tool. Quite impressive.

For better understanding, in tern of pop, Grant is in the Sano-Stanton level.

I'm not sure I'd classify Grant as a Troll. A troll posts opinions just to get a rise out of people, I honestly think that Grant 100% believes everything he posts.

just m2c -- I totally understand why people are annoyed at him. I think he is actually quite genuine. He just doesn't get the concept of "who the f*** knows", "I was wrong", "I'm not sure" and "good point brother"

I don't care what the intentions are. People know exactly how he's going to argue; he'll introduce a topic, cherry pick stats to suit his needs while waving off counter arguments as if they aren't even worth addressing because he's always right and to explore any other possibility is meaningless. He acts this way LITERALLY EVERY TIME, I've posted in this thread already pointing it out and still people keep tripping over themselves just to bash their heads against the wall and get frustrated.

I really wouldn't give a s*** if people are masochistic but I put this dolt on ignore for a reason and it's annoying when entire threads get derailed thanks to his condescending ********, especially when he gets quoted.

It's a lot different when you are a LHB or RHP. Switch around Chris Davis' splits and he looks a lot like Danny Valencia. I also mentioned earlier that Sanchez was equally good against LHB and RHB out of the 'pen in 2014 and probably in 2015 as well, but I can't find splits. The fastball is unhittable from either side of the plate and that's all he throws in the bullpen.

He was not equally good.

vs. R 2014

22.7% K%, 5.3% BB%, 17.3% K-BB%, 67.3 GB%, 8.8 SwStr%. 2.24 FIP, 2.82 xFIP

vs. L 2014

21.7% K%, 10.9% BB%, 10.9% K-BB%, 63.3 GB%, 5.3 SwStr%, 3.82 FIP, 3.34 xFIP

He was still good against L, but not as good as against R.

In 2015 as a reliever:

vs. R:

9.3% SwStr%, 76.1% GB%

vs. L:

6.3% SwStr%, 58.7% GB%

If you want to use your triple slash stats:

SLG vs. R: .172

SLG vs. L: .308

ISO vs. R: .000 (didn't give up an extra base hit to a righty in 26.1 IP!)

ISO vs. L: .077

Thats all the stats Brooks gives me: http://www.brooksbaseball.net/outcome.php?player=592717&b_hand=-1&gFilt=&pFilt=FA|SI|FC|CU|SL|CS|KN|CH|FS|SB&time=year&minmax=ci&var=iso&s_type=8&startDate=07/23/2015&endDate=03/21/2016

Much better against righties.

Hazel..

"When you're comfortable with your DP partner, just relax and have some fun".

That's actually really accurate. Not only do you have to be comfortable, you have to trust your DP partner as you never want to cross swords.
