Ryan Goins isn't just the worst hitter on the Blue Jays - he is possibly the worst hitter in Major League Baseball.

At any point when he is a starting position player it is very likely that he would be the worst hitting starter in MLB. At any point when he is on a 25 man roster, it is likely that his only rivals for the title of worst hitter in MLB would be a handful of backup catchers and perhaps a backup SS or two.

There are numerous pitchers who legitimately project to hit better than Ryan Goins.

.238/.285/.330 - that is what you should expect him to hit this season. That's 44% below major league average.

So this post suggesting that he could or should lead off is, accordingly, really bad and OP should feel bad.

s***.. I did not see it coming but you have a really good argument. Personally I want Russ to do it, then I'd still pick Saunders but I'd pick Goins over Pillar now.

Also another point you're missing is that if pillar leads off, it's a waste of his speed, because he can't run when the bangers are banging

When have police ever followed up on every single silly complaint? Somebody high up in Rogers likely called somebody high up in the Toronto Police and leaned on him to try and go scare somebody. It's not like you can just run up to the statue and run away with it.

I must admit I don't for sure, but generally people passionate enough to tweet about blue jays issues are also on here as well, and if it's the fan I'm thinking of he's a canaries fan. There aren't many hard core canaries fans who are also hard core Jays fans and there's one fan on here who is also fans of both clubs.

I thought of the same person but his posts here and Twitter account don't match up personality wise. Plus, he only said he was watching the Norwich game, not that he was necessarily a fan. From Twitter it appears he might favour Spurs.
