Trout's been kind of good this year despite missing a third of the season. Irl he's 3rd in WAR for position players and he has like anywhere from 100-200 PA less than the guys around him. Pretty decent at this baseball game that guy is.

Yep, he earned it by playing 10 games at '2B' during some wacky Cubs shifts. As a rule of thumb, any eligibility earned by a baseball player during a given season is automatically carried forward to the next season by Yahoo (we've seen this numerous times anecdotally, ex Miggy at 3B, Bautista at CF, Gyorko at SS, Gattis losing and regaining C, etc). So yes, barring some unforeseen exception, Rizzo will carry 2B eligibility into 2018 in Yahoo leagues.
