BTS Community Moderator Posted September 18, 2017 Posted September 18, 2017 I don't see your path to victory unless you get 2 hits and win the tie break? Sean Doolittle
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted September 18, 2017 Posted September 18, 2017 Sean Doolittle I'm really looking forward to Dusty Baker f***ing this up for you.
spittin Verified Member Posted September 18, 2017 Author Posted September 18, 2017 Sean Doolittle Oh damn he's the closer.
BTS Community Moderator Posted September 18, 2017 Posted September 18, 2017 I can't have Chris Taylor come up in the 9th. If he makes an out, I lose.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted September 18, 2017 Posted September 18, 2017 Rip Sean Doolittle save.
BTS Community Moderator Posted September 18, 2017 Posted September 18, 2017 f***, that just about does it.
BTS Community Moderator Posted September 18, 2017 Posted September 18, 2017 Congrats L54. Your team doesn't really have any weaknesses. I think you're going to win in the finals.

It was an intense match up the entire week. Multiple categories up for grabs, and came down to the last out on Sunday night.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted September 18, 2017 Posted September 18, 2017 Booze Hounds had a great week, congrats. Going to be a tough team to beat have an outstanding lineup and the pitching is decent as well.

burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted September 18, 2017 Posted September 18, 2017 can someone clarify, does end of season on the rules post #1 mean end of MLB season or end of BORED season, which will be a week tomorrow when mike trout's team hoists the trophy? bump

Ya, he needs to hoist it first. ok so the trade moratium ends a week tomorrow, good to know... time to make some offers I believe there's a 2 day grace, not sure though. bump ...
BTS Community Moderator Posted September 18, 2017 Posted September 18, 2017 I don't even remember how this usually works in the yahoo dynasties. Are teams supposed to stop making roster moves in yahoo immediately after the season, and we shift immediately to tracking rosters on the spreadsdsheet?
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted September 18, 2017 Posted September 18, 2017 I probably should have been watching waivers for fringe keepers during the playoffs instead of completely neglecting my team.

No more picking guys up from the FA list. Only roster moves I think that can be done once the playoffs are finished are waiver claims of players that might have been dropped over the weekend. Atleast I think?
BTS Community Moderator Posted September 18, 2017 Posted September 18, 2017 I probably should have been watching waivers for fringe keepers during the playoffs instead of completely neglecting my team. I think the only potential keepers that have been added are Tyler Flowers and Nick Goody. You haven't missed much.

Trades start Monday, and FA adds made after Sunday won't be honoured unless they were waiver claims made this coming weekend. I'll try to get the spreadsheet updated with the rosters on Monday so we can abandon yahoo for the winter.

BTS Community Moderator Posted September 18, 2017 Posted September 18, 2017 Actually, I've thought this through and changed my mind. Let's say next Wednesday is the last day for all adds. That gives the finalists some time for housekeeping and to drop streamers for possible keepers they might like. Wednesday it is unless spittin sees this discussion and wants to overrule me.
Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted September 18, 2017 Posted September 18, 2017 Have added Flowers and Tim Anderson (who has been hot). Expect to keep both, Anderson long term and Flowers as potential deadline trade bait next season.
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted September 18, 2017 Posted September 18, 2017 I plan on keeping three of my five in Tulo, Martin, and Folty. Things could obviously change though.

I, too, have a hard time quitting Folty. Results have never been there, but every once in awhile he'll have a great breaking ball and something close to command of his upper 90s heat and you see a very good starter hidden in there somewhere.

Dude, going by Jimmer Nelson, just hang on to him. Nelson went through that same kinda thing and then this year happened.
Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted September 23, 2017 Posted September 23, 2017 Better make a move today, drunks. Such a high cost paid to get Cutch, EE, Bats.
