No perhaps you should not automatically dismiss what a woman says about abuse. There were no charges laid because his employees covered his ass.

The police checked her. He didn't hurt her. Case closed.

A neighbour filed complaints about loud music, so they must be close enough to hear it, not acres away

That was at a different location if I read correctly.

To be fair, if you heard random gunshots going on off in your neighbour's house, would you not be concerned? Sure legally he might have been able to do what he did without repercussions, and the whole issue might be exaggerated (depending on the validity of the domestic abuse allegations), but this is the kind of issue where out of rage someone could have gotten hurt, even if Chapman didn't mean to wound anyone.

How far does he live from his neighbors? Obviously it's a problem if he's in downtown Miami firing shots a few meters from his neighbors' property, but if he's on a few acres, and legally allowed to shoot on his property I don't see the issue.

What he he took a knife and stabbed someone in the chest? It sounds like he was out of control and this could have happened.

Exactly. Its dangerous as hell and something he should not be doing lol.

I mean if instead of punching her in the face he took out his anger on his garage I guess we could say it was a good thing. But at the same time he obviously has anger issues if he takes his anger out in this capacity. Lets not forget the allegations of abuse as well.

I'm confused, are you arguing the sanity of his actions or the legality of them?

Close enough where they called the cops about noise complaints.

I think he's saying Chapman completely lost his s*** and could have dealt with it in much more harmful ways.

What if he shot a bullet through the garage door and hit one of the people at his house? It didn't sound like Chapman was "thinking" about his actions when he shot off his gun 8 times lol.

K, so what if? What is the point of this discussion anyways since it's all speculative, just a bunch of he said she said in a police report. Dodgers are probably just trying to get their hustle the Reds before they execute the deal.

My point was that the following:

"What if he shot a bullet through the garage door and hit one of the people at his house? It didn't sound like Chapman was "thinking" about his actions when he shot off his gun 8 times lol."

Was a stupid comment, considering we know that this didn't happen.

Why not go to a gun range or something? That way you get to leave the house away from the person who infuriated you and are in a controlled environment where no one can get hurt. The issue is probably overblown regardless; no one got hurt, maybe Chapman has a bit of an anger issue, okay.

Have you never been completely livid? There's no way you should be driving in that condition.

Sometimes a man just needs to blast a few holes in the wall, you know?

All my point was, was that Chapman is an idiot and that you can't be going on a rampage shooting your gun 8 times with people around.

Chapman's theatre must've been bumping in order for the neighbours a few acres away to call in a noise complaint.

That's fair. I don't think we're arguing different points tbh, guns in the household are probably not a good idea anyways (let alone using them with known people within the house), but that's my opinion.

Close enough where they called the cops about noise complaints.

They had lived together in a Miami apartment and moved back to the Davie home six to eight weeks earlier, the report said. Chapman told police he believed his girlfriend had taken a key without permission, according to the police report.

Previously, Chapman had been cited by Davie police for a noise-ordinance violation after a neighbor called several times complaining of “excessively loud music,” according to another police report.

But you should be holding a firearm and firing it off? Idk, go punch a pillow, break some dishes or break a watermelon with a bat or some s*** lol.

It's fun to make huge generalizations about a guy's character/intellect based on legal and harmless things he did to let off steam while his relationship was falling apart.

I am biased. Get a grip. Every post on this board about abuse starts out with it must have been her fault. She must be after his money.

Probably the reason I usually believe the woman, is that I volunteered in a womans shelter for 20 years. The things I saw that men had done to women would make you vomit. Or maybe it was I saw a 200 lb guy throw my 90 lb sister down a flight of stairs. Or maybe it was the time, her two babies that were four at the time, ran to the neighbour for help, because he was punching her out.

So yes, I am biased and have seen it all. I quit working there when a woman who had come to the shelter with her two kids on numerous occasions, and had gone back again and again because she was afraid. Well he finally got his revenge for her leaving him. He murdered her, and the in laws and the kids.

So yes I am biased, and you need to open your eyes to the possibility that some men do these things.

Anyone who is going to go off firing shots in their own house with "friends and family over" because they didn't like the way their girlfriend was talking to them probably shouldn't own a firearm.

This is totally conceivable given that he's Cuban.

This is what I don't get. Most people will throw something against a wall and it ends there. Why do you have to shoot off a gun? By choosing to shoot off a gun in that situation there are probably some issues with Chapman mentally.

Most of the women i have had relationships with were abused in childhood or in previous relationships. Makes me very sad to think about it.

The false accusations that sometimes occur, those are the ones that get plenty of publicity. 99.9% of these incidents are true incidents of men being violent to women, and the only time we hear about them, is if the woman is killed.
