Unfortunately, the Jays success brought in a ton of bandwagon fans who listen to idiots like Simmons and McCowan and then start to echo their stupidity in forums like this and Twitter. That TilsonBritoFan poster was pretty much reciting McCowan's rant from yesterday word for word in this thread. It's not going to get any better any time soon.

Yep. Shapiro...losing culture (despite 3 playoff appearances as a GM/Pres, 4 90 win seasons, including the best record in baseball in 2007, 2 executive of the year awards...and 8 playoff appearances as a Front Office executive).

AA ... winning culture (1 half season run of unsustainable .700 baseball)

It's such a ******** stance that they are taking.

The media here is such s***, no wonder all the sports teams are constant disappointments: the front office guys are probably closet alcoholics from being obliged to interact with these people.

Got to love the token David Price question. I wished so badly that Atkins had responded with: "Dude, he pitched in 15 total games here."

I'm 28 and sure as f*** wouldn't spend $300 on jeans. That's insane.

Thank god you said this, I had been wondering how old you were for a while but I thought it would be rude to ask if you were like 60.

It's probably listed in my profile, but it wouldn't have bothered me if you had asked. Of course, this isn't really helpful now...

Same with my wife, but then she'll spend $300 on shoes instead and tell me they were on sale so it's okay.

I won't spend that on shoes either. I think the most expensive pair I've ever actually purchased are my Dr. Martens phina boots, and they're so amazing that they've pretty much made everything else I own useless.

Do they give you a 5 year supply for $300?

Well each pair is like 20 bucks, so if you can use them for 4 months a pop...yes.

Buying jeans you can't try on is brave.

They have a stretchy waistband and I know my leg length so its not a big deal. They are dark wash too, which I prefer and they fit OK. Pretty comfortable.

They are great for work, I buy them exclusively as work pants. The flex feel is great while climbing around inside commissioning electrical components, so comfortable. Style is meh, but I dont give a f*** what style Im wearing while working.

Buying jeans at the Jane and Finch mall for 15 bucks. The blood stains give them some personality.

Is Jane and Finch even the correct reference point for this anymore. Rexdale and North Etobicoke are much worse.

just cause there is no change room it doesn't mean that you can't try them on.

I can't wait until I'm old enough to take my pants off in public and chalk it up to being confused.

I'm 28 and buy jeans at Costco.

Good lord I'm losing respect for some of you. Nobody has ever looked good in jeans from Costco. I don't recommend buying jeans for more than $100 (although the best pair I ever owned cost about $150 and I wore them regularly for like 7 years and still do to this day, even though they are wearing out).

But you can buy really nice jeans that retail at $90-$140 at certain times of the year for $50-$70 and they are totally worth the investment. I just got 2 pairs of Buffalo's at 70% off at The Bay last week. They fit/look awesome and I won't need jeans now for another 3-4 years likely....and it cost me like $85 taxs incl.

I'm 34 if anyone cares.

I had a pair of those. I liked them except wallets and keys can sink about 3 feet down in the pockets. LOL

Costco is awesome.

Never bought jeans there before though. I like to try them on to make sure my ass looks good in them.

Good thing Bob McCown ripped him for no reason last night so that all the casuals listening have an open mind.

They were promoting that segment during their recap/sportscentre last night. I was like, wtf?!

To sum up the last couple pages we're pretty much shrugging our shoulders at this hire?

His name reminded me Garrett Atkins existed for 2 seasons. So there's that I guess..

Atkins said during the press conference that TLC would be running the rest of the Jays offseason while he learned the ropes.

Sounds like they aren't too keen on anymore notable SP signings. When asked "if they really thought this rotation was good enough to compete" they said that the next step was acquiring SP depth for Buffalo.

Atkins seems like a smart guy. Shapiro+Atkins combo is miles ahead of the clown show that was Beeston and AA, so it's hard to complain.

Lol Shapiro is grilling Steve Simmons hard. Hes probably wondering whats up his ass this morning jeez

There's something up Simmons ass every morning, he's through and through a terrible person, douchecanoe/*******/knob jockey, etc, etc, I feel sorry for his family.
