Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted November 30, 2015 Posted November 30, 2015 Sometimes you can appear more intelligent admitting when you're wrong instead of sticking to your guns through and through. I'm not wrong. If there was 1 be all way to win the World Series every team would want the same type players, same philosophies in terms of offense, pitching, and defense. Unfortunately there is not. That's the beauty of baseball.
King Old-Timey Member Posted November 30, 2015 Posted November 30, 2015 Sadly I am, you are not. Pitching owns hitting in the playoffs. If we had Greinke, Price, Stroman, Estrada in the playoffs with our offense...compared to the pitching we had and Trout instead of Pillar. I'm not wrong. Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted November 30, 2015 Posted November 30, 2015 The team that just won the world series had a very average starting staff but okay Playoff teams with superior starting rotations to the Royals: -All of them
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted November 30, 2015 Posted November 30, 2015 Then why didn't the Mets win the WS with their far superior rotation compared to the Royals? Their offense was crap. We HAVE one of the best offenses why didn't we win? KC was balanced.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted November 30, 2015 Posted November 30, 2015 Their offense was crap. We HAVE one of the best offenses why didn't we win? KC was balanced. We had the best offense and it wasn't particularly close. We didn't win because the playoffs are a total crapshoot and any team that makes it can win the WS.

Laika Community Moderator Posted November 30, 2015 Posted November 30, 2015 I wouldn't mind being added if there's still room. To grant - numbers guy is a good one

That's the beauty of baseball. My statement had nothing to do with winning a World Series and everything to do with not trading a minor leaguer coming off TJS for a perennial all-star.
King Old-Timey Member Posted November 30, 2015 Posted November 30, 2015 @ Grant I think LTBF has established himself off the prospect list committee ITT.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted November 30, 2015 Posted November 30, 2015 I disagree..the best all around team wins more often than not. Wouldn't the best all-around team be good in every aspect then, not just primarily pitching? You're contradicting yourself here.
BTS Community Moderator Posted November 30, 2015 Posted November 30, 2015 Sorry for starting this mess guys.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted November 30, 2015 Posted November 30, 2015 wat Price >>> Cueto Stroman > Ventura Estrada ~ Chris Young
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted November 30, 2015 Posted November 30, 2015 Wouldn't the best all-around team be good in every aspect then, not just primarily pitching? You're contradicting yourself here. There are so many different scenarios in here, hard to keep track. It starts with pitching. 99% of the years, teams will not win with just pitching or just offense that's common sense, didn't think I needed to spell this stuff out.

King Old-Timey Member Posted November 30, 2015 Posted November 30, 2015 On what planet does Cueto = David Price
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted November 30, 2015 Posted November 30, 2015 On what planet does Cueto = David Price In the playoffs
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted November 30, 2015 Posted November 30, 2015 stop Why...its good to laugh
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted November 30, 2015 Posted November 30, 2015 Trolololol... Mods I'm just giving my opinion on questions asked to me. I'd take Cueto next year over Price...especially based on the amount of money each want.

KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted December 1, 2015 Posted December 1, 2015 I want in. I'm pretty up-to-date in my prospect knowledge at the moment. Recently finished charting all the minor leagues for the LOD draft.
thatoneguy Old-Timey Member Posted December 1, 2015 Posted December 1, 2015 Their offense was crap. We HAVE one of the best offenses why didn't we win? KC was balanced. It's called they went streaking from door to door like a bunch of drunk freshmen.
