I think the Royals went all righty after getting Cueto, but there must be a few others. Interestingly, the White Sox have a shot to go all lefty (Sale, Quintana, Rodon, Danks, ?).

The Brewers are currently all righty. If the Dodgers signed Price they'd be all lefty. Padres potentially could be all righty. Orioles are currently all righty without Chen. White Sox have Erik Johnson penciled in as their only righty. Indians are a good example, Kluber, Carrasco, Salazar, Bauer, Tomlin. Twins are borderline, with just Millone as their 5th starter. A's before Rich Hill.

I just looked at current depth charts, obviously subject to change. But now that I've done some background, not overly unusual. So ya focus would definitely be on the best #2. So that comes down to Zimmerman or Shark for me. Maybe Cueto, but don't like him as much as the other 2. Tyson Ross via trade I'd like, or Trevor Bauer. Gallardo would probably be my fallback.

We could definitely do worse.

Yeah. I wouldn't be keen on 5/80 or whatever was discussed ITT, but Chen would really bolster the rotation.

Plus he won't have to get upset about being sent down when he's supposed to face the Jays offence. It's a win win.

I'm fine with that AAV. But would hope it would only be 4 years. 4/64 I'd be more than happy with.

Chen is fine but I just can't escape the opinion that he's not the guy I'd spend my moneys on or give a long term deal to.

I'm not really sure why. It's just a lot of money and years to give an ever so slightly above league average pitcher who doesn't strike guys out, get a lot of groundballs, manipulate contact, throw particularly hard, hasn't touched 3 WAR or 200 innings ever.

I dunno.

I wouldn't be against Chen, but yeah, I feel the same way. Very underwhelming based on what it would cost.

I think Iwakuma is the best option in terms of years/salary, but I don't think he'd want to pitch in Toronto.

He might actually do a great job of manipulating contact.

I feel like everyone forgets about Hutchison. He had a really bad 2nd half of the season but maybe some of it was related to confidence. He probably though he had a terrible first half because of his 5.33 ERA but he did have a 3.71 FIP so there definitely was some bad luck there.

If we are going to upgrade the rotation and spend money I'd rather spend it on some upside. The Chens and the Leakes are good pitchers because of the reliability they provide but they aren't going to be more than #4/borderline 3 starters. Much rather go for a guy like Shark Kuma or even Lackey who have more talent and should cost the same or less.

I still love Hutch.

I can't see us winning a championship with any of those guys. If we sign Price I don't know what's going to happen in the future but we will be the best team in AL. I think we could go all the way in 2016

I want a championship. I want to see the Jays win one.

The tweet Hurl posted from David Price was tweeted in 2013. Hurl didn't notice that it was tweeted 2 years ago until after he posted it, and once he realized it was an old tweet he deleted his post.

NL GM: Red Sox will outspend teams by $30-40M for Price

Don't want us to sign Price(and we won't) but really loathe the idea of having to face him so many times in the AL East.

Jays righty loaded lineup will hammer him more often than not.
