Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted November 11, 2015 Posted November 11, 2015 It'd be pretty close. I just prefer the position player to pitcher in terms of long term control. If they each had say 2 or 3 years of control then I would do it. not close at all.....
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted November 11, 2015 Posted November 11, 2015 Walker is 22-23, has been a top prospect for years and has top of the rotation stuff. Pillar just had one very good season at age 26. I don't think it's close at all but to each their own. Meant it'd be a close call for me personally. I don't think Seattle would accept it.
Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted November 12, 2015 Posted November 12, 2015 Walker for Pillar lol i know eh? no way Jays do that
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted November 12, 2015 Posted November 12, 2015 i know eh? no way Jays do that Young controlable stud with big ceiling for a 2 Wins CF 26 years old?
Frenchsoup Verified Member Posted November 12, 2015 Posted November 12, 2015 Young controlable stud with big ceiling for a 2 Wins CF 26 years old? You mean young controllable 4 win stud CF to patrol that huge outfield in Seattle, for a 23yr old who is a huge flyball pitcher with piss poor mechanics and timing. Yeah Seattle pulls the trigger on that easy.

Frenchsoup Verified Member Posted November 12, 2015 Posted November 12, 2015 Care to wager on the 4 WAR part? I would yes, with a clause that if he hits 5 WAR you double it so say 20 bucks for the 4 WAR part and if he hits 5 you owe me 40?
thatoneguy Old-Timey Member Posted November 12, 2015 Posted November 12, 2015 Can we stop talk about trading Tulo in this thread? The Indians have Lindor anyway so it wouldn't really be relevant to talk about involving him in a deal for Carrasco (or to any other team because who are the Jays reasonably going to get that's better at SS).

Frenchsoup Verified Member Posted November 12, 2015 Posted November 12, 2015 I'd have to put in PA's minimum as well, say 550?
King Old-Timey Member Posted November 12, 2015 Posted November 12, 2015 http://www.bluejaysmessageboard.com/threads/65-Official-Board-Wagers-Thread?p=807714#post807714
Frenchsoup Verified Member Posted November 12, 2015 Posted November 12, 2015 And if he's under 3 you owe me 40? Nah
L54 Old-Timey Member Posted November 12, 2015 Posted November 12, 2015 Nah So the wager is $20 then. O/U 4 WAR with a 550 PA threshold?
GD Old-Timey Member Posted November 12, 2015 Posted November 12, 2015 Nah Under 2.5 = $40 makes it a fair bet
Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted November 12, 2015 Posted November 12, 2015 young controlable stud with big ceiling for a 2 wins cf 26 years old? your sarcasm detector is broken

Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted November 12, 2015 Posted November 12, 2015 I probably wouldn't even do Walker for Pillar. Wat? Seattle would tell LaCava to f*** off, regardless.

It is the awful Carrasco trade idea thread... Just turned into the awful trade Pillar to Seattle thread.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted November 18, 2015 Posted November 18, 2015 Pillar + for Carrasco! Lol that would be a wet dream.
Laika Community Moderator Posted November 18, 2015 Posted November 18, 2015 Ugh I want any one of Kluber/Carrasco/Salazar so god damn bad I'll be gutted if the Yankees land one of them.
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted November 18, 2015 Posted November 18, 2015 Pillar + for Carrasco! You are on drugs, bro
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted November 18, 2015 Posted November 18, 2015 Ugh I want any one of Kluber/Carrasco/Salazar so god damn bad I'll be gutted if the Yankees land one of them. Especially if Brett Gardner is the headline return piece.
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted November 18, 2015 Posted November 18, 2015 Especially if Brett Gardner is the headline return piece. Gardner+ for Carrasco and I will cry...
THANOS Old-Timey Member Posted November 18, 2015 Posted November 18, 2015 Pompey for Bauer? Possibly, or maybe it's a mega package for Carrasco/Salazar? They were specifically named earlier in the Gardner rumour.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted November 18, 2015 Posted November 18, 2015 Possibly, or maybe it's a mega package for Carrasco/Salazar? They were specifically named earlier in the Gardner rumour. Possibly but I can't see the Jays selling the farm for Carrasco with Shapiro aboard.
