thatoneguy Old-Timey Member Posted December 6, 2015 Posted December 6, 2015 We would EE say yes to a trade to the Indians? Sarcasm detector broken.
FrozenRopes Verified Member Posted December 7, 2015 Posted December 7, 2015 With our reported $140 million payroll, you should probably prepare yourself for minor league signings and maybe a trade or two when it's all said and done. Trade a bat for an arm. Tulo, Devon Travis, Joey or EE (if they will allow). We outscored every other team by more than a run a game, we could send a bat. Cleveland needs lumber. EE for Carrasco

EE for Carrasco *sigh* EE doesn't even predict to be Carrasco next year (3.0 WAR vs 4.8 WAR) and Carrasco is cost controlled till 2020 where EE is a UFA. Why wouldn't they also just sign Chris Carter or Pedro Alvarez or both, may cost slightly more than EE's 10M, and platoon them and just keep Carrasco? Its. Not. HAPPENING!!

This should be a new drinking game. Take a shot everytime someone says EE for Carrasco/Kluber/Salazar.

skirbs11 Verified Member Posted December 7, 2015 Posted December 7, 2015 Can a few ppl weigh in on what it would a realistic offer be for Carrasco???
BTS Community Moderator Posted December 7, 2015 Posted December 7, 2015 Can a few ppl weigh in on what it would a realistic offer be for Carrasco??? Pompey/Pillar + Osuna + SRF?
FrozenRopes Verified Member Posted December 7, 2015 Posted December 7, 2015 This should be a new drinking game. Take a shot everytime someone says EE for Carrasco/Kluber/Salazar. Ya, its not like we cant add pieces. Hence my naming of additional players.
THANOS Old-Timey Member Posted December 7, 2015 Posted December 7, 2015 Pompey/Pillar + Osuna + SRF? Off-topic, but, I'm really interested to see what Atkins does with SRF now. He's the exact type of pitcher Atkins would make a development project for. A guy with nasty stuff that strikes out the world but can't control it yet.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted December 7, 2015 Posted December 7, 2015 Pompey/Pillar + Osuna + SRF? Two of Pillar/Osuna/Pompey + one of Alford/Pompey/SRF
THANOS Old-Timey Member Posted December 7, 2015 Posted December 7, 2015 Two of Pillar/Osuna/Pompey + one of Alford/Pompey/SRF More than enough reasons not to even try. At this point, I'd rather Atkins bring in his development crew, implement all his strategies and mechanisms, and see if he can turn SRF and Greene into Salazar/Carrasco/Kluber types. It will be interesting to see what he does with Sanchez as well.

burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted December 7, 2015 Posted December 7, 2015 Alford+Pompey+SRF gets Cleveland to the table. If they turned down Norris/Hoffman/Pompey they aren't going to take any of these packages people keep posting. Jays just don't seem to have the prospects to make a deal. Even then I can't see Shapiro trading from the farm.

THANOS Old-Timey Member Posted December 7, 2015 Posted December 7, 2015 Is that the actual deal? Apparently. They followed up, reportedly, by asking for Stroman+, at which point AA hung up.
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted December 7, 2015 Posted December 7, 2015 Apparently. They followed up, reportedly, by asking for Stroman+, at which point AA hung up. Lol not really
THANOS Old-Timey Member Posted December 7, 2015 Posted December 7, 2015 Lol not really Didn't someone here report that? BTS maybe? I could be mistaken.
BTS Community Moderator Posted December 7, 2015 Posted December 7, 2015 Didn't someone here report that? BTS maybe? I could be mistaken. I certainly didn't engage in any reporting lol
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted December 7, 2015 Posted December 7, 2015 Wasn't it Cincy who asked for Stroman for Cueto?
Cyborg Verified Member Posted December 7, 2015 Posted December 7, 2015 Wasn't it Cincy who asked for Stroman for Cueto? No that was a really dumb FanGraphs article where the writer suggested it would be worth it for the Jays to trade Stroman for Cueto.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted December 7, 2015 Posted December 7, 2015 No that was a really dumb FanGraphs article where the writer suggested it would be worth it for the Jays to trade Stroman for Cueto. Lol wasn't that Jeff Sullivan too? One of their better writers.

Captain Adama Old-Timey Member Posted December 7, 2015 Posted December 7, 2015 Ya, its not like we cant add pieces. Hence my naming of additional players. Cleveland's not going to accept Encarnacion as a main piece for a young, good controllable starter anyway. So just stop.
