CJ-Freeway Old-Timey Member Posted October 24, 2015 Posted October 24, 2015 Laughing soooooo had right now my side is killing me. Blame the umps......call for "robot umps".....f*** this.....f*** that.....lmfao. The fact of the matter, as I stated earlier in the week, you lost this when your manager decided to rest starters towards the end of the season, thereby losing home field advantage. but please.......please.......carry on... You know what, I actually thought you guys had a better team than us. But come on, even Harold freaking Reynolds saw that balk with Pompey on third base. And you know damn well that those "strikes" to Navarro and Revere were balls. In other words, congrats on the win but I don't think you deserved to win Game 6.
King Old-Timey Member Posted October 24, 2015 Posted October 24, 2015 Please did you see some of the crowd in KC. Compared to the gargoyles he was sitting with, He looked like Brad Pitt. Trust me, that guy is getting the first pick when it comes time for him to marry one of his cousins, lol
EMK19 Verified Member Posted October 24, 2015 Posted October 24, 2015 We didn't have too many reasonable choices at that Goins PH spot other than Navarro. Even if it was Justin Smoak, he would have seen nothing but breaking balls from Davis and would have been even more sure of a K candidate. Carrera wouldn't have been available as he's the next in line as the pinch runner after Pompey. Although granted, Cliff Pennington was 4-9 lifetime vs. Davis but those numbers were obviously from the days where he was a starter more than a few years ago. Also, it's Cliff freaking Pennington.

Reynolds thought he saw a balk, and then thought that's why the Jays whole bench was yelling. But the bench was yelling at the f***ing terrible strike call. Reynolds watched the replay and said it wasn't as bad as he thought.

Inklink Old-Timey Member Posted October 24, 2015 Posted October 24, 2015 I feel absolutely gutted. The thought of there not being a next game seems so foreign. The last 3 or so months have been so captivating. So emotional. Frustrating yet exhilarating. Yeah, screw the umps. Yeah that wasn't a HR. Yeah fk FOX. But you can't leave that many men on base. You can't win without a clutch single or two in a row. Things I'll remember: 1) JD's incredible regular season. 2) Bautista's HR and the rest of the 7th inning game 5 3) Comeback against Texas 4) Troy fricken Tulo became a Blue Jay 5) David fricken Price became a Blue Jay 6) The amazing vibe this team generated I'm feeling lost right now. Go Mets.

vdubmvp Old-Timey Member Posted October 24, 2015 Posted October 24, 2015 Maybe I'm weird but I don't even understand why fans of the winning team need to come here to be annoying. Like, is your own team's win somehow not enjoyable enough for you? When we beat Texas, I never thought to go trolling a Rangers message board. It's just such nonsensical behaviour.

King Old-Timey Member Posted October 24, 2015 Posted October 24, 2015 It's been a great ride fellas. Spring training is only ~4 months away. Can't wait. Until then, it's going to be a very interesting offseason.

That's how I am too. I would be too f***ing happy to even give a thought to the other team or their fans. So obviously they don't actually get much satisfaction from winning, only from the misery of others. Pretty sad existence.

blujayfan9 Verified Member Posted October 24, 2015 Posted October 24, 2015 Long time lurker. Firstly, Caleb Humphries might be one of the ugliest things I have seen. God damn, ugly cartoon characters are drawn less offensive. Secondly, despite the fact that we did get several bs calls, I'm happy to have had the chance to enjoy Jays postseason ball. The team deserves a lot of support and I hope that the crowd will be there to support them next year. Looking forward to an exciting 2016 season.

Great work, MLB. Props to that kid, I woulda done the same thing. His life is changed forever. Don't hate the kid, hate the umps Yes, this. The kid shouldn't have been reaching. But the officials with cameras, replays, and slow motion should have made the correct call.
