candymartinez Verified Member Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 No one is blaming him for the loss. Just blaming him for dumb pitching changes and bullpen use.
thatoneguy Old-Timey Member Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 Gibby didn't give up 5 runs in the first two innings nor did he only score 2 runs for us all game. His moves were s*** and using Lowe was a dumb move that hurts us tomorrow but Gibby isn't why we lost today. I didn't say we weren't blaming Dickey or even the offence (which looked to try to do too much as a result of Dickey's s***** start), but Gibbons made moves both yesterday and today to make the corresponding succeeding games needlessly more difficult to win.
Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 I don't blame Gibby at all and I'm not gonna go bats hit on this team. Great year if they don't win this series. Gibby isn't good but he isn't Matt Williams
SAAviour Verified Member Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 Of course everyone is different but if anyone in my life was dying, they would be saying "Go play in the playoffs, your team needs you!" Back to the game. I missed most of it, but for the first time all season I was so confident we would see good Dickey today, and he had to go and do that to me. Makes me think it's a kid, does Loup have a kid? Hope it's not. If my dad was dying he would demand I play in the post season.

Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 Reasons we lost this game: 1. Dickey was s***** 2. Offense was poo 3. Gibby had a stroke

Drumcliff Verified Member Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 4. Kansas City is pretty f***ing good. Their seven-run, late-inning rally to win game 4 of the ALDS, when facing elimination, and the way they took advantage of the misplay by Goins in game 2 – particularly with three LH hitters in a row getting RBI hits off a tough lefty in Price – indicate a team that is…pretty f***ing good. Reasons we lost this game: 1. Dickey was s***** 2. Offense was poo 3. Gibby had a stroke
BTS Community Moderator Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 Weren't you the guy defending Gibby all year lmao. Horrid manager. What's the point of a post like this? Even if he did defend Gibby all year, good on him for actually being open-minded enough to criticize him or, god forbid, change his mind in the face of new evidence. The "haha, gotcha!" posts make this forum almost unreadable and should be bannable.
Followthelight Verified Member Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 People blaming Dickey for us losing this series....game 2 is why we will lose this series...3 to 0 price dealing in the 7th. Then he abandons his curve again gets hit hard. Gibby leaves him in too long. On top of that the offense failed to execute several times with runners on second none out , and 1 bases loaded with 1 out and never got a single run. Dickey you know some days he just doesn't have it series should be 2 to 2. Game 2 was a s*** show choke job a winning team does not lose in the alcs. Price is not the ace this team needs for big games.

Followthelight Verified Member Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 This team has been horrid in close low scoring games all year.....it's been an issue in the post season too. People here said it meant nothing.....welp. not going to win anything until they can win those types of games.

Not going to win 8 to 1 often in the playoffs. .thus we will be going home soon and the Royals moving on. Nearly lost the Rangers series too. Team is not built to win in the playoffs.

If they were a worse team, some of their blowout wins would have been close wins, and this would have somehow made them a better team in the playoffs? This isn't making a whole lot of sense.

The best teams don't always win.

Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 Gibbons' terrible bullpen management yesterday and today might have cost us the series. If he doesn't burn Osuna yesterday, we probably could have used him today. Also, not bringing in Mark Lowe with the bases loaded down by 3 runs was idiotic. Even more so considering he ended up using Lowe anyways when WE WERE DOWN BY 10 RUNS.
CJ-Freeway Old-Timey Member Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 Tomorrow: last hope. Estrada needs to step up like he did in the ALDS!!!

havok24 Old-Timey Member Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 Just please win this one tomorrow. I want to see Price get one more start at least.
