no it's not one game per say. its one game after tomorrow if price shits his pants like he's done already. as far as tulo goes, the both can double s*** themselves together on national television. tulo has been as valuable as my local high school short stop, and price has looked like s***. so, how are we even where we are? two home runs is the answer. and that is all.

David Price will have to come through this afternoon and pitch a gem. I hope he can perform in the cool weather; it will be around 60°F at game time.

 

Now we know just how tough this Kansas City Royals team will be.

I think Tulowitzki needs to be dropped down in the lineup. Pillar is batting much better than Tulowitzki so there is no reason for Pillar to be number 8 and Tulowitzki to be number 6. I just don't think Gibbons has the nerve to do it with a highly excitable, high-paid star player. The fact is, Tulowitzki doesn't look any better at the plate than Goins at this point. Tulowitzki looks like he is afraid of the baseball and is flinching on anything over the inside of the plate.

I lived in Japan for 2 years a long time ago and actually Japanese is like algebra, easier than English to learn to speak. (and Korean sounds very similar to Japanese).

 

I was able to carry-on everyday conversations in Japanese within a year, but I studied it constantly.

 

English is more difficult to learn than Japanese because of the 10's of thousands of English words to remember (luckily English is my first language), but still many Japanese people can carry on a conversation in English within a year if they work at it.

 

I have actually seen a game in the Japanese Professional League, Warren Cromartie an ex-Montreal Expo, was one of the players in the league at the time and I saw him play.

Few of the veteran Korean MLB guys like Chan Ho Park before and now Shin Soo Choo eventually learned enough english to get by on their own, but I think these two probably forcefully learned it by default because they were brought up through the minor leagues unlike those other Japanese/Korean players who transitioned from their domestic league to MLB right away (some of those guys like Ichiro/Nomo/Ryu etc I don't think ever dropped their translators). So I think some of it might be due to the connection they feel to the league here and their willingness to learn english on their own to survive through the tough minor league days and such. Kawa's english has gotten better than how it was at first I'm sure, I have this feeling during normal everyday life here he may speak better functional english than what we see on TV; a lot of it is probably playing to his "gimmick" here and the nervousness of talking in front of a camera, etc.

The last time this injury acted up EE needed about 3-4 days rest. Granted this is ALCS and the stakes are huge, but back then it was the Yankees series which was huge and he ended up missing the latter two of those games in that series so... I'm assuming this injury is one of those one simply can't play through well enough in pain/too much risk and danger with further aggravation.

 

But maybe he'll play today, we'll see... It all depends on how he feels. I just don't think the chances of it are too great
