BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 So what do you suppose is Gibby's mindset bringing in Hawkins only 3 runs down here? Save everyone else for tomorrow? They have an off day Sunday.
Corporal Valdal Verified Member Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 He's been dealing with this injury for the entire second half. Hopefully but still to re injure it done at boss well as he's a power swinger and needs that finger in his follow through
thatoneguy Old-Timey Member Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 should be a short series.....KC plays baseball.....our guys try and hit 3 run home runs with nobody on base. Horrible approach at the plate by all tonight. No moving of runners, attempting a steal, etc. Apparently it will take 3 singles or a HR to get a run across the plate and that makes for a short series. maybe pick up another starter in the off season and one more solid reliever
ColdPint Verified Member Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 I'd put Pompey in right, Bautista at DH and Bello at 1st if Eddie is hurt. Yep, I like this. It'll never happen but it's a good idea. I'd much rather see Pompey than Smoak at this point.
The real boys in blue Verified Member Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 Two on no outs lol

They have an off day Sunday. We have to score 3 runs against Wade Davis, the best reliever this season. You shouldn't burn anyone else.
Corporal Valdal Verified Member Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 For some reason they seem to be in an "all-or-nothing" mode right now. Swing for the fences every time you're up. They've gotten runners on tonight and failed to advance them or score them. They had a lot of missed opportunities to do the same in the Texas series. If they want to win this series, and even the World Series, they're going to have to score without relying on the home run so much, and giving the pitcher outs by swinging at their pitches. Umpires haven't helped with having some strange zones in some games either. I blame it on getting drunk on Wednesday and having a hangover traveling to kc the next day only excuse I can think of

We had a bad game and then lost the series......oh .....wait. And we actually had some very good at bats throughout the game, sometimes you just tip your hat to the guy(s) on the mound.

intentional wok Old-Timey Member Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 Can't stand how Joe Buck goes straight for controversy. Such lazy speculative commentary. I've been complaining about him for years. My friends are like, "dude why do you even care this much?" "I don't know."
Mozzer Verified Member Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 So is losing a key player in game 1 of a playoff series gonna be thing now? First series it was Donaldson and Bautista now EE? Clutch spot there too - damn
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 Volquez was good, Estrada was better

When you have a day off Sunday I don't agree with white flagging in a game this close. You cant hand a gm to KC 3 runs down Davis or not. At times we got to Betances and Miller this year. It can happen.

Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 No more Hawkins...has he been good at all for us
SSTP Verified Member Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 Cool, lets just get all their hitters on a roll and smoking hot by putting gramps in there
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted October 17, 2015 Author Posted October 17, 2015 Why do they continue to trot Hawkins out there. Hes so awful lol
