Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted October 22, 2015 Posted October 22, 2015 Crazy that this Mets team made the World Series. But that pitching is just so good. And they started to mash in the second half.
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted October 22, 2015 Posted October 22, 2015 Congrats to the Mets! Well deserved. Cubbies will be a force for the next few years...
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted October 22, 2015 Posted October 22, 2015 Holy f*** the Mets celebration looked so boring. What a boring team.

827 Verified Member Posted October 22, 2015 Posted October 22, 2015 Always liked both the Mets and Cubs. Maybe 'cause they've been the underdogs and what not. always liked the Mets colour scheme and the Cubs logo. Anyway, I was happy to see both of them make the NLCS. All I hope is that it's the Blue Jays taking the field against the Mets, not to FOXSports Royals. I mean KC Royals.
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted October 22, 2015 Posted October 22, 2015 A whole team of boring white guys. The baseball world's wet dream. Seriously, they were standing still taking turns opening the champagne bottles, and spraying in random directions while saying "woo hoo" in their indoor voices.
Scion Verified Member Posted October 22, 2015 Posted October 22, 2015 I still can't get over the fact that Daniel Murphy had half as many home runs in 9 post season games as he did in 140 regular season games.

FireAlexAnthopoulos Verified Member Posted October 22, 2015 Posted October 22, 2015 I just realized that if we come back and beat the Royals, we'll kind of be playing against ourselves in the World Series. After all, AA pretty much built the Mets' team for them.
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted October 22, 2015 Posted October 22, 2015 The Mets would never flip anything.

I've always had a soft spot for the Mets. For a while there, we were both formerly great east-coast franchises that plummeted into futility. Now, we're both good again at the same time.
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted October 22, 2015 Posted October 22, 2015 I want to see a Syndergaard vs. Dickey matchup. Yuck. Thor Vs. Stro or Price maybe...but the less I see of Dickey the better.

After all, AA pretty much built the Mets' team for them. While I know you are partially joking Sandy Alderson has done a fantastic job of building that team. His only move which I can remember going WTF to was signing Cuddyer. I was hoping the Jays could have snuck him to be the next president, but Shapiro is good too.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted October 22, 2015 Posted October 22, 2015 (edited) I want to see a Syndergaard vs. Dickey matchup. Ditto, so does R.A. Dickey. You read that piece, I believe it was the Sun. Can't find the piece, he said if it were to happen, it would be a great story, yada, yada...anyhow. Edited October 22, 2015 by Spanky99
