fmradioguy Verified Member Posted October 16, 2015 Posted October 16, 2015 Interesting to note that with all the talk of Jays fans waiting so long for post-season glory to this point, of the four teams remaining, the Jays were the most recent of the bunch to win a World Series.

JaysAllMighty Old-Timey Member Posted October 16, 2015 Posted October 16, 2015 Lets face it, we already won the WS by beating Texas, they were the worse team for us... now it will probably take us 8 to 10 games to win it all. Book it.

intrigid Verified Member Posted October 16, 2015 Author Posted October 16, 2015 People talk about how scary the cubs are, and to that I agree, but the jays are still scarier.

That's just it, who cares who we play, it's not like we're going to be in the World Series and playing a s***** team. Cubs and Mets are both good, but it's hard for me to find a way to argue that either of those teams are better than the Jays.

I was in NYC this past Monday and thought about hitting up the Mets Dodgers game until I saw on stubhub that standing rooms were going for $250.

The World Series tickets are worse, with bleachers going for $2000. Tickets here at the Rogers Centre can get very, very expensive. The face value for the tickets is expensive enough, but I'm sure many Chicago Cubs fans will make the trek over since its a lot cheaper

mtljaysfan Verified Member Posted October 16, 2015 Posted October 16, 2015 I like this Cubs team. So much young talent on this team. They'll be scary good for many years to come. Both Cubs and Mets have elite pitching. If we advance to World Series, it will be epic battle between the best offense vs one of the best pitching. The best possible, most interesting games to watch. I don't fear neither of the two. If our offense clicks, we can beat any pitcher no matter who pitches.
Dr Negative Verified Member Posted October 16, 2015 Posted October 16, 2015 The Cubs swept the Mets twice this year, 7-0 head to head record (4 at home, 3 on the road). It's hard to imagine Mets taking 4 of 7, especially considering how good they look right now but this is the postseason. Yeah but that was before the Mets picked up Cespedes, got Wright back, and generally started winning a lot of baseball games.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 Prediction: TV ratings for Cubs-Mets will be 3X that of Jays-Royals
S33n Verified Member Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 I thought this game started at 7:30pm EST?
CJ-Freeway Old-Timey Member Posted October 18, 2015 Posted October 18, 2015 Man, Wright has been sucking since 2013.
thatoneguy Old-Timey Member Posted October 18, 2015 Posted October 18, 2015 Daniel Murphy is absolutely on fire.

thatoneguy Old-Timey Member Posted October 18, 2015 Posted October 18, 2015 Holy f*** D'Arnaud. Monster center field shot.
BTS Community Moderator Posted October 18, 2015 Posted October 18, 2015 So Travis d'Arnaud is really f***ing good.
BTS Community Moderator Posted October 18, 2015 Posted October 18, 2015 Dickey is f***ing good too. OK. Relevance?
SAAviour Verified Member Posted October 18, 2015 Posted October 18, 2015 Prediction: TV ratings for Cubs-Mets will be 3X that of Jays-Royals I refuse to watch the series...a minor protest that will do no good, but f*** MLB for giving the Jays ALL the s***** time slots. I know my protest is pathetic and I'll likely miss a great series but my kids say I'm watching enough baseball anyway so I got that support at least.
Captain Adama Old-Timey Member Posted October 18, 2015 Posted October 18, 2015 Dickey is f***ing good too. I'll take a young, hard hitting, defensively good catcher under team control over a 41 year old knuckleballer anyday.
art_vandelay275 Verified Member Posted October 18, 2015 Posted October 18, 2015 i have to tip my hat off to you guys watching this; after watching our game, i couldn't stand watching another baseball game; i'm not as sick as after game 2 of the texas series but pretty darn close...
thatoneguy Old-Timey Member Posted October 18, 2015 Posted October 18, 2015 I'll take a young, hard hitting, defensively good catcher under team control over a 41 year old knuckleballer anyday. Plus a fireballing 1-2 starter who can strike anyone in the league out with his stuff.
