TilsonBritoFan Verified Member Posted October 10, 2015 Posted October 10, 2015 We are arguably still favoured to win game 3. We have the advantage in pitching matchup. Ditto for game 4. This s*** is coming back home for 5 you can book it or ban me permanently. TBF has spoken.
crmr Verified Member Posted October 10, 2015 Posted October 10, 2015 Being favoured for 3 games still makes us significant underdogs
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted October 10, 2015 Posted October 10, 2015 No chill. None of you guys follow through on deleting or asking mod to ban your account anyway. And if you did. You will just come back as somebody else and nobody will care.
thatoneguy Old-Timey Member Posted October 10, 2015 Posted October 10, 2015 We're pretty much f***ed, no optimism on my end.

Do you know how many times Ive heard you clowns say we're f***ed.....From Stroman getting hurt in the spring, to Tulos injury over and over Ive heard we're f***ed. Man up, and fight til the end, you guys are caving to losing, Im glad Im not in a battle with you on my side, giving up while Im still fighting.

Not a lot of the more knowledgeable posters here said that for those issues unless they were trolling. This time, we're basically completely screwed. Feel free to bump troll this if we come back in this series, but the team honestly looks a bit unprepared.
crmr Verified Member Posted October 10, 2015 Posted October 10, 2015 Funnily enough people seem to underestimate their actual chance of winning. It's not great, but it's not 'completely screwed', at worst they have about a 1/8 chance of winning, and its probably closer to 1/6, not really terrible (obviously not great)

Slade Old-Timey Member Posted October 10, 2015 Posted October 10, 2015 Perez is the kind of guy they've hit all season long. If they lose on Sunday they never deserved to win and clearly were not prepared.
crmr Verified Member Posted October 10, 2015 Posted October 10, 2015 Our bullpen without Cecil is not exactly air tight (even with some good flashes from Sanchez recently). What impact do you actually think the loss of Cecil has on winning a particular game? It's near negligible. Jays are still the better team...
candymartinez Verified Member Posted October 10, 2015 Posted October 10, 2015 Let's be honest, there is no "chilling". It's full panic mode now.
Zed Verified Member Posted October 10, 2015 Posted October 10, 2015 Perez is the kind of guy they've hit all season long. Anyone can win or lose a baseball game, it doesn't mean you're not prepared, sometimes it just means things didn't go your way.

Jays are still the better team... Uh, it takes a pretty decent hit, especially in a close game. He has been the kryptonite of a lot of lineups during our run since the ASB.

pickoff22 Verified Member Posted October 10, 2015 Posted October 10, 2015 Of course we have a chance. We will be the favourite in every game and for good reason. If we take the game Sunday and they put Holland out in game 4 we're a massive favourite to bring this thing back to TO. I don't see the point of being a pessimist. If you're a true fan you always think your team has a chance to win. And we actually do despite the odds being against us. Perfect time to start another 11 game winning streak if you ask me.
thatoneguy Old-Timey Member Posted October 10, 2015 Posted October 10, 2015 "pretty decent hit", like, 1% in each game max? What? Losing who has been hands down your best reliever over the past 3 months is a serious blow.
crmr Verified Member Posted October 10, 2015 Posted October 10, 2015 What? Losing who has been hands down your best reliever over the past 3 months is a serious blow. Ya, affecting our chance of winning each game by 1% is pretty significant for a reliever (i.e. about 1.6 wins better than who he will be replaced with - which will be someone like Lowe/Loup depending on how they match up). My point is it's still pretty negligible when you look at their chances of winning 3 games
gbill2004 Verified Member Posted October 10, 2015 Posted October 10, 2015 0-2 guys. This is full blown panic time.
SAAviour Verified Member Posted October 10, 2015 Posted October 10, 2015 This s*** ain't over. We win Sunday and we got a chance. And if we lose, we lose. Playoffs are a crap shoot anyway. I'm just glad I don't have to listen to people laugh at me for being a fan of a team who hasn't made the playoffs in 22 years. f***ing hockey fans who think they know s*** drive me crazy. Today I had to teach the clowns how innings ( top and bottom) work. If your a bandwagon fan and don't know s*** keep your mouth shut. Rant over. But, this ain't over! Win game 3 and its on. Game 5 would be epic.

Laika Community Moderator Posted October 10, 2015 Posted October 10, 2015 ~60% favourites for each game so maybe ~21% to win the series still. Not insurmountable!

labadee Verified Member Posted October 10, 2015 Posted October 10, 2015 I think if we win game 3, this series is coming back to toronto.
King Old-Timey Member Posted October 10, 2015 Posted October 10, 2015 I think if we win game 4, this series is coming back to toronto. ftfy
Trouba95 Old-Timey Member Posted October 10, 2015 Posted October 10, 2015 I agree with labadee. If we win game 3, we'll have momentum and the series WILL return to Toronto.
Inklink Old-Timey Member Posted October 10, 2015 Posted October 10, 2015 I think if we win game 3, there will be game 4. Just a hunch, don't put money on it!
candymartinez Verified Member Posted October 10, 2015 Posted October 10, 2015 I think if we win game 3, there will be game 4. Just a hunch, don't put money on it! That's not really a bold prediction there
Inklink Old-Timey Member Posted October 10, 2015 Posted October 10, 2015 That's not really a bold prediction there OK, fair enough. If they win games 3 and 4, I have a feeling that this is coming back for game 5 in Toronto!
