nmrch Verified Member Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 With Cecil gone the Jays clearly have a problem matching up against lefties in key spots. Not to mention only one of our 4 SP's is a lefty. The Astros have 2 lefties and a switch hitter in their lineup, the Royals have 3 lefties and 2 switch hitters. The Royals lineup is much more lefty heavy. With the Astros the you pretty much only have to worry about Rasmus and Valbuena. So from that aspect i would prefer the Astros.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 On one hand, I'd definitely rather face KC. Keuchel is terrifying in a 7 game series. KC doesn't have an Ace. On the other hand, I would hate to lose to KC. Also I have tickets so having home field would be cool. Well, wasn't that a conundrum.
Governator Community Moderator Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 lol the gorilla suit guy smacking his ass behind home plate
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 I say who gives a f***, yet rather face KC, SP wise.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 lol the gorilla suit guy smacking his ass behind home plate I was thrown out of the RC for heckling ball players, and another time they took my sweep brush away. Hence, the RC suxxxx The seats I was given for the former was durinf the 92/93 teams celebration, and I received the seats from a former 92 player, lol. f***ing tossed for respectful ball banter.
Governator Community Moderator Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 Astros might be a better match up but putting a beat down on KC would feel outstanding.

Governator Community Moderator Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 Royals taking over now.
Grant77 Old-Timey Member Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 Go Royals! Those pitchers are good hittin'
TheHurl Site Manager Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 A battle of the midgets in game 3 would be fun
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 Doesn't KC have more dangerous LHB's than the Stros? Considering the condition of our BP (lack of LOOGY's), is this something we should be concerned with?
TheHurl Site Manager Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 Go Royals! Those pitchers are good hittin' 3 average RHP or 2 good LHP. probably an even matchup any way for the Jays

Considering the condition of our BP (lack of LOOGY's), is this something we should be concerned with? It's not going to matter if we're up by 6 runs. We've hit Keuchel fairly well in the past, but that Royals rotation is a lot weaker.

Houston uses platoons more effectively, but overall it's 104 wRC vs. RHP for Houston and 100 wRC for KC for RHP. Not a huge difference.

Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 Cueto dominating after a rough beginning I guess Royals fans can stop booing him and asking for their prospects back.
